Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT), Ahmed is one the leading institutions in India offering both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in the area of Natural and Built environment and linked disciplines. Various causes in Geometrics which is one of the fastest developing field with excellent career prospects have been introduced with an aim of creating professional accomplished manpower in the field of remote sensing, digital image processing, digital cartography, geographic information system and GPS to meet the condition of different institutions, organizations, corporate offices engaged in information technology, urban planning, infrastructure planning, environment, climate change and disaster monitoring, rural and regional planning, natural resources, navigation, aviation, and many more areas.

Candidates with a Degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture and Planning are obligatory to succeed in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and candidates with a Master’s Degree in Geography/Economics/ Sociology are required to qualify in the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination to be entitled for a monthly scholarship in accordance with the Government of India rules.
