Indian Institute of Foreign TradeIndian Institute of Foreign Trade is popularly known as IIFT. It is situated in Delhi. The Institute dates back to 1963. It was established as an initiative taken by the Government of India. It is an autonomous institute.

The institute is dedicated in inculcating knowledge to the students on critical issue of foreign trade. The institute has taken up research programmes with the World Bank, World Trade Organisation, over the years in the field of foreign trade. The institute offers 4 courses related to business management. MBA- International Business. This is a course specialized in international business.

The IIFT selects candidates on the basis of a written test conducted by the institute. The test is also known as IIFT. The test is conducted once every year typically in the fourth week of November. The candidates applying should have be graduate (minimum 3 years)from a recognized University. There is no age limit for admission to this course.

The admission test is an objective multiple choice type test, containing 200 questions written in English. Questions are asked from English comprehension, quantitative analysis, logical reasoning and general awareness. It is a two year full time course, divided into six semester, three semester each year. MBA- International Business (part time). This course is designed for the working professionals. It is a nine semester part time course. The candidates can either be self employed or be working as an executive for at least three years.

The classes are held in the weekendsw. There is no age limit for the appearing candidates. The selection procedure is based on essay writing, group discussion and personal interview. The selection procedure takes place only in the IIFT campus. Executive Post Graduate Diploma in International business, it is a one and a half year long course spread equally among five semesters. Working executives with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the managerial level are eligible for this course. Candidates are selected on the basis of esdsay writing, group discussion and personal interview.
