Insurance institute of India is an insurance education company that was established in 1955 for the purpose of giving insurance education to interested persons. It was formerly known as Federation of Insurance Institutes. The institute offers examinations at various points. Candidates sitting for examination are required to be present at the test venue 15 minutes to time. Candidates arriving ten minutes later are not allowed to sit for the examination.
