The National Institute of Management Calcutta was started under the guidance of Army Welfare Education Society, New Delhi. The institute’s name was later changed to Army Institute of Management, Kolkata on 11th of February in the year 2005.

The very first MBA program batch started in the National Institute of Management Calcutta and had only 60 candidates. The objectives of the institute is to instill high-tech management applications and concepts, develop the personality and wisdom at the managerial level, provide management education along with information technology and make the student prepared for the global market.

To seek admission in this prestigious institute of management, the candidates need to pass common entrance test conducted by the institute itself in the campus. The test will be followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

To become eligible for the common entrance test of this prestigious institute, you need to be a graduate from any Indian University in any discipline. The MBA program is a 2 year course which is cent percent residential course. Every batch has 120 candidates. Of which 80% are reserved for the wards of army personnel and the balance 20% to the general public.
