If you thought private detectives were confined to the movies then its time to get a dose of reality because private detectives have now become a full fledge functioning practice of society. This is the reason why there are institutes actually offering private detective courses in India.

The need for security has increased and the demand for detective personnel has also shot up. This has come about at a time when domestic problems like spouse infidelity are on the rise. Similarly industrial security conditions are deteriorating which forces the people to call upon private detectives.

Private-Detective Courses

The growing industry of private detectives now requires a properly trained work force. There are many things that contribute to the making of a professional private detective. Physical fitness is one of the primary prerequisites for this job and so is a high level of alertness and analytical expertise. Luckily there are Private Detective Courses being offered in India that train individuals to become professionals in the field.

Who can become a Private Detective?

One of the things that make this field open to a wide variety of people is the fact that one does not require a license to function as a private detective in India. Therefore there is no such restriction on who can become a detective nor is there a prerequisite educational background. Basically anyone who has completed their graduation can apply for diploma courses being offered in the field.

There are a number of institutes offering various Private Detective Diploma Courses for the public. The basic diploma course runs for a duration of one year and aims to educate the individual in the art of private investigation.

There are a number of detective agencies that conduct in-house courses on the trade. People with an educational background of forensic sciences can really prosper as a private detective.

The Indore Christian College and The National Institute of Private Investigation are two institutes that offer diploma courses in the field. There are a number of detective agencies apart from these institutes that offer these courses such as the All-India Private Detectives Association, ACE Detectives India International Securities and Lancers Network Limited.

Career scope as a private detective

The Private Detective courses gear up the individual with agility, alertness and a polished analytical mind which are the key requirements of the job. After the completion of the course the individual is all ready and set to take on the professional world.

In India you will find that you can either get a job as a detective agent in an already running agency or get hired by individuals for specific cases. There are a number of situations that may cause people to call upon you such as domestic problems related with divorce, custody etc or family disputes related to property ownership and other things.

The corporate sector has its fair share of needs for a private detective for corporate espionage or problems related to industries. News agencies and the national intelligence agencies also recruit skilled private detectives. Eventually you can always open up your own agency.

Since the majority of the detective agencies in India are actually franchises of internationally registered agencies there is a bright chance of getting a job as a private detective in foreign lands as well.
