The institute is popularly known as SCMHRD. This institute is a part of the prestigious Symbiosis family. The students are selected on the basis of their scores in the SNAP, Symbiosis National Aptitude Test conducted by Symbiosis. The institute has been established under the UGC Act 1956 under section 3. This institute imparts an all round education related to human resource development.
The candidates have to go through rigorous group discussion and personal interview after taking the SNAP test to get into this institute. Candidates having highest scores in the SNAP test are generally shortlisted. The willing candidates have to apply separately for SCMHRD along with that for SNAP. The Master of business Administration is a two year full time course. It is approved by AICTE.
The students participating in the programme can get their MBA degree in any one discipline among marketing, finance, human resource, information technology and systems and operation. The first year comprises of the curriculum consists of all the core subjects, while specialization in any of the above mentioned subjects is provided in the second year. The applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with 50 % marks, the marks criteria is 45 % for students of reserved category. Executive Masters in Business Administration.
This is a part time course of three years of duration, this is acourse dedicated to the working executives. This programme is a sponsorship programme, the candidate should be working in the sponsoring organisation during the course of study. The candidates have to directly apply to the institute site, no written test is conducted for this. Diploma and Certificate Courses, this programme is dedicated to the global commodity market and derivative market. The course leads to a specialization in a particular commodity amongst bullion(gold, silver), base metals(copper, nickel, aluminium, lead zinc, etc), energy(natural gas and crude oil), electricity trading, emissions trading, agricultural commodities trading.
