1. Adjuvant therapy: the main aim of this is to prevent or delay cancer from coming back after the surgery or radiation. If the cancer seems to be limited to the breast or lymph glands under the arms there are chances that the cancers cells have already reach to the areas which are invisible to you. Chemotherapy helps in destroying such cells.

2. Neo- adjuvant therapy: sometimes breast cancer is so big that shrinking it first becomes quite necessary and easier before operating it.

3. Metastatic disease treatment: if the cancer grows up in other parts of the body and are not only limited to breast or lymph it is known as metastatic disease. Chemotherapy helps in destroying such cancer cells and can also help woman to live long and quality life.
