Yantra Yoga
Yantra in Sanskrit means to restrain. A set of mystical figures and diagrams are known as Yantras and they are used for many religious practices. There are nine chakras, with regard to the unfolding of the universe. Each of them is supposed to denote a form of energy which has a specific energy and a direct impact on reality. So with association of these nine Chakras, there are nine forms of Yoga and each form of Yoga, represents the particular energy. While some of these energies are action based, they lead to action based Yoga and other forms of energy which are more passive lead to more passive and meditative forms of Yoga.
The Chakras are as follows, The Muladara (this is the centre of gravity, or the force that holds illusion of matter together. This Chakra gives the body solidity.). The other Chakras include Swadhistana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha and Ajna.
