It is possible in shared hosting too because you can upgrade to VPS or Dedicated Server once your forum reaches certain higher levels, till then there is no need to invest lot of money.

Forums are generally known to be as User Contributed Content based websites where in you should expect most of the content from your visitors and this is hard in the beginning. Also there is a very low income options in forums because visitors based content is not known to have a lot of quality which is why there wont be much adsense income.

Better go for Wordpress Based Blog along with a forum like this and try to get members to the forum and see how it works, if it works great then go for a full fledged forum.

I want to start a new forum regarding tv & bollywood discussion but people said that forums need good server and for that i need to invest good money and also forums are poor for adsense earning. what is this.?

i don't want to invest my pocket money. I want to invest the money which i will earn from adsense.

BBPRESS is better i guess as it is backed with the best blogging platform & also u can merge both.. & the interface & also the look & making chances cant get better than this..

bbpress is fast in use but,
i am not used to it thats y looks boring,
but both vanilla and bbpress looks same to me

Yes their is a addon to make it search frndly.. will have to remove Vanilla as it is very simple in layout and hard to navigate most of the times..

I used vanilla and I loved it though it has a kiddo look and most of the themes are not so good (has only 17 themes).. http://bangaloreloka.com/forum just installed it today..

This forum runs on BBPress script, we already have a Vbulletin based forum at http://www.gii.in/forums/ but overall bbpress is really quick and easy to handle.

this forum is BBpress i guess, seeing the link in footer and its easy to use, i will recommend bbpress

I heard BBPress is good but Vanilla also has some cool features and is easy to use.
