Generally google/smschannels alerts are starting around 8.30 in the morning. And one more thing those alerts are not coming immediately after publishing a post. It is taking it's own time. Can we set it properly? Or is there ant other software/website/technology which gives the alerts immediately?

First of all this is a free service from google, so we cannot expect much. Also since this service is heavily used you cannot expect instant delivery as the mobile carriors are busy.
Check out - http://labs.google.co.in/smschannels/browse and locate your channel , Click on settings to find 'SMS Channels Settings'
This is the page where you can change your details like :
Status:
Nickname:
Phone number:
Verification code:
Maximum messages per day:
Start time:
End time:Try to modify the SMS timings to 24 hours zone and you can expect SMS messages almost instantly.
