The Bangalore International Airport which was started in july 2005 was expected to be opened for general public at the same time when the hyderabad international airport was started, but seems the opening will be by the may end and right now all the terminals, ground handling works are done quickly.
With a total of 4500+ employees to be working at the huge international airport, the main problem has been lack of foreign investments in the airport which added to the delay because of funds. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) is the company which is building, owning and operating this new airport. Here is the share holding of this big Airport project.
* AAI: 13%
* Karnataka Government: 13%
* Larsen and Tourbo: 17%
* Unique Zurich Airport: 17%
* Siemens Project Ventures: 40%
The airport will open with a capacity for 11 million passengers per year and able to handle 27 aircraft per hour

if gov. is setting up a high speed train system ..it can be one of the world’s best airport
