This job usually entails working for some one who already is an administrator and is a great stepping stone to be an administration officer your self. This is a great chance for one to learn the tricks of the trade. The things you should when writing your resume is to clearly explain the skills that you have acquired. You should include the ambitions that you have and try to link them to your application for the job. At the same time try to show how getting the job as an administrative assistant will help you in attaining your goals. It is not advisable to include technical skills that you may have acquired as it may seem that you are overqualified for the job you are aiming for.

Computer skills are a must have if you are hoping to get the job and thus you should take every opportunity to indicate the various computer skills that you have. The resume that you write must be easy to understand and read. Your inter personal and communication skills should be top notch as you will have communicate with various departments. Any work experience that you may have that indicate your ability to coordinate a few sections to work as a team you should include. It does not matter when it was even in high school as long as you are showing the ability and history of being able to perform such a function.

You can include you high school play when you were the director or the time you organized the prom, those are examples of being able to coordinate different functions. Secretarial skills are called for as in this job you may be called upon once in a while to assist other division or in your own to answer the phone, receiving people who are paying a visit to the firm and being able to retrieve files and file them back.

A good command of English is important as you will be communicating to a lot of people and writing a lot. You have to highlight any thing that points to you being a good organizer and being able to undertake the great task at hand. You should not come off as a person who agrees to everything that is said and you should be able to come up with your own ideas. This is so because you will be attending meetings and you have to place your own opinion if asked to.

It is also advisable that you continuously update your resume including the new skills that you may have acquired through the various projects you may have done.
