ePrint Blackberry Application for Printing through Smartphones

HP ePrint BlackBerryWith lots of things going mobile, then why not printing through one click on mobile? When you can browse internet and open pdf, html files, retrieve email, retrieve docs and publish from webs then why not direct printing from your smartphone! World’s leading printer manufacturer Hewlett Packard famously known as HP has launched ePrint applications for smartphones like Blackberry and selected iPhones by which you can print the documents directly from your smartphones through a nearby printer.

With ePrint app you can print documents from public locations just like our Wi-Fi in:-

  • Office Premises
  • Pubs
  • Hotels
  • Libraries
  • Airports
  • Schools, Colleges & Universities

HP ePrint supports printing of these documents from your BlackBerry Phones:-

  • Microsoft word documents
  • Excel Spreadsheets
  • Powerpoint Presentations
  • PDF Files
  • HTML Files
  • Image Files
  • Text and rich text files
  • XPS Documents

How does it work for Blackberry?
Once you have downloaded the app and installed, “Print Now” command would be initiated. Soon you will be notified of a unique security code which would be entered by you before giving prints and once its done your documents are ready to print. This services can be accessed on BlackBerry smartphones OS 4.5 mobiles.

The best part of ePrint is its ability to cancell the documents from one printer and transfer it to nearby printer automatically if the printer is running low on ink or having problem through Smart Decision Suite for Blackberry.

This applications is useful when

  • If you travel a lot to reach your office, you can use HP ePrint to send important documents to print to your office printer.
  • In emergency rush to Airport, Trains stations to catch flights or trains you can print documents on the go and send it to the printer.

For Enterprise to enable this services they requires BlackBerry Enterprise Server deployment, Internet and e-mail capable BlackBerry smartphones OS 4.5 with separately purchased wireless Internet services. Demo app would be available on April 26, 2010 and the availability and the cost per print to HP ePrint public locations will  vary based on locations.

This applications is really helpful for the corporate world and the applications of this applications in the real world could mean a lot to them.
