Dell Inspiron 530s Desktop Computer Review

August 14, 2008 by Amit Bhawani

The new Dell Inspiron 530s is a new notebook in the form of personal computer which comes in various designs along with integrated card reader. You can get your data transferred to your memory card. The DVE-RW drive lacks the protection of screen which is light in form. It has a lot of ability to get pictures burnt on the surface of the disc. Getting rating of media to get burnt at such high speeds is another episode. With Gigabit network adapter there is a possibility of a big flaw due to the lack of it. With files mounting up in a large measure and Gigabit switches getting dropped in prices, it is very pathetic.

The LCD panel is decent, glossy, widescreen 15.4 inches display (1280×800) which can be framed properly in tune with the sleekness of the computer boards and bodies. X3100 is Intel graphics Video card. Then the 2GB of dual channel RAM, a 320 GB SATA hard disk drive, an ATI Radeon X1300, 128MB of RAM, and Intel core 2 Duo E 4400 at 2.0 GHz. A lot of impression has been created by these speculations. Windows Vista home premium paired with abundance of RAM makes for a quick machine. The results which have been benchmarked were expectedly on a high side.

The dimensions of Sound card are suitable for high definition audio. Wireless networking cards Dell wireless brand name 1395802.11 gMini-cards, Battery options 4 cell battery, offering warranty and service 2 year limited HWWRTY, in home service after remote diagnosis, 24×7 phone support with system color in jet black.

Game tests did not get to bring systems which are branded on a platter. Doom 3 races up to 47 frames per second with the resolution of 1024×768 with graphics set to climb down. The graphics’ setting at a high level with the same resolution managed to bring it down to 33 fps, which is very palatable to play. F.E.A.R was playable at 1024×768 with low graphics, returning a score of 47 fps. With medium setting final management for slowing down gets you nearer 19 fps. These technicalities are quite commendable and while X1300 is a speed not like demon. This will enable playing less game which is demanding in nature.

Dell Inspiron 530s Desktop ComputerAmazingly the two ports are not USB 2.0 ports and these cannot power an external hard drive. Do not plug in at high speed device here as long as you desire which will be very useful. The mouse is very ordinary except for the inclusion of two little thumb buttons that have the tenancy for backing the default and enablement of forward functions of your browser. These have the qualities for getting a job accomplished but it is not especially styled on fashionable lines. Left handed users will have an opportunity with a tenancy to use their tender little finger for the thumb buttons for the contours of the mouse which are easy for you for lefties use.

Monitors are nice and you have an opportunity of a comprehensive analysis of the features of these products for getting the desired positive results for getting the office work move with magnanimous speed, accuracy, and precision.

Very nice sleek design but yeah, the system specs are also quite good… But as to the Gigabit adapter and other things – you just can’t fit all that into the slim shell of the Inspiron 531s.

And another thing.. I suggest you try Crysis as well when reviewing computers. It’s quite greedy when it comes to system resources… 😀
