Huawei Telecom a China based mobile company splashed Huawei Ideos mobile phone at IFA 2010 is claimed to be the cheapest Android phone. So lets get into the specifications of Huawei Ideos.
Huawei first Android based mobile phone will have a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with 528 MHz processor. It runs on Android 2.2 software and it boasts full HSDPA 7.2 Mbps support. Its a Wi-Fi with GPS too. The noticeable feature other than its being a Android mobile is that it has 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus but lacks behind because it doesn’t have a flash.
Other features which are includes in this handset are 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroSD expandable card slot, 3G mobile hot-spot support. Tagged as Android mobile phone software which is by Google you can also expect to find Google applications like Gmail, Google Maps, Voice Actions, Voice Search, Maps Navigation and many more from Google.
The price of Ideos in India is expected to be Rs 4500 and will be available in the market at the October last week. It will be also available in variant colors including black, blue, yellow and purple.
This is a decent looking handset keeping in mind the budget of the handset, the features are also preferably good and so we can expect good sales of the handset until any competitor is coming up with a better price range. Two weeks back Spice announced MI 300 Mobile which is also a Android based mobile priced at Rs 9,990 but Huawei Ideos is 50% less in costing.

The name “IDEOS” embodies creativity and inspiration: the “ID” represents the industrial design-centric hardware platform, the “OS” represents the operating system as the core software platform, and the “E” symbolizes the evolution toward the mobile internet.
