A minor distraction can cost you millions of bucks and it is very dangerous proposition.   2. You should always keep it locked. You must have a security device which can make it more difficult for somebody to steal your priceless possession or use it. You should utilize a security cable and attach it to immovable objects or to a heavy piece of furniture which is difficult to move. For instance, a table or a desk.
  3. You should also keep it away from the floor. You should keep it closely tied to your body or on your lap so that nobody is able to snatch it from your hands under coercion, undue influence and fraud.
  4. You should also keep your passwords elsewhere where nobody can locate it lest it will be very dangerous. You should not allow any thief to know your personal or corporate information. It is very damaging to your business if you do not take such precautions.
  5. You should always keep it out of site from most of the people except when you are in an office amidst your employees. You should never keep it in your car.
  6. You should be very careful in public places, airports, or in an airport lounges where you have to be very careful not to use or check various information or in flights.
  7. You should ensure that you should tell others to keep an eye on the laptop when you go out for a moment in an office or in a hotel or in a conference or seminar.
  8. You can utilize some alarms or bells in your systems to warn various people to ensure safety and security for the purposes of ensuring information security protection.

To conclude, to prevent laptops from getting stolen you should be very careful and take all sorts of precautions to ensure your business safety as well as personal safety. This is not to belittle your information relating to personal as well as corporate for the purposes of improvement of business as well as profitability.

    What you have said is right we should have to be careful to prevent from stealing laptop which is main difference when comes to laptops and desktops no worries from desktops side from this view they sit as rock in tables,we should kept laptop as safe as credit card or debit cards in our purse.
