Google has added a new feature in the Google Webmaster Account where in you can link your account to the Google Analytics account and get more detailed statistics on the referral traffic and links. To get started you need to ensure that you have a verified website in the webmasters account. One of the main advantage of linking this is that you can directly access your analytics stats while you are accessing the tools, the very same way how you can link adsense with analytics. Click on the Manage option next to the website you want to link to and then click on the Google Analytics profile.
Next you will be asked to select the profile from the list of different Analytics Profile which are available on your account. Select the correct radiobox and you will have click on the ‘Save’ button.
As per Webmaster Tools Help :
In addition to making it easy to visit your Analytics profile directly from Webmaster Tools, you’ll also be able to access your Google Analytics Referring Sites report directly from the Links to your site page in Webmaster Tools. This report helps you understand the overall trends in traffic volume from referrals, as well as the sites driving those trends.
