How to Show/Hide Hidden Files & Folders

December 4, 2008 by Amit Bhawani

Here is a quick tip on how to show up all the hidden files and folders in your windows based computer. Iam going to tell you this trick for the highest used operating systems ie Windows XP & Windows Vista because other windows versions are now rarely used.

Showing Hidden Files in Windows XP & Windows Vista :
Click on Start > Open my Computer > Select Tools Menu and click on the Folder Options > Select View Tab

Now you will find a option – Hidden files and folders, here you need to check for ‘Show hidden files and folders’

Not useful for us as we already know all this but this one is good for beginners. My mother doesn’t know how to make a folder, so this might be useful for her…
