Read Wikipedia on any Mobile Phones

December 16, 2008 by Amit Bhawani

If you are a wikipedia user, then you should be more happy because wikipedia has launched a mobile version of their whole website which offers the users to access to a quickly loading and non-images version of the user-edited content.

Wikipedia Mobile Phones Version

You can obviously surf wikipedia normally from mobile phones using the browsers but the main problem in that is the slow loading because of many images and huge page sizes , since wikipedia links to huge number of internal links + has lot of images in the header which can slow down the load process but a optimized mobile phone edition would help you out because it just shows you a small logo of wikipedia followed by a search box and content.

Try out Wikipedia on Mobile now.

While browsing the mobile version from my Android version, I loved the way page was modified, and the table of contents were linked in such a way that clicking on them opens the section there itself without opening them in a new page.
