Nokia Aeon – Will these Concept phones ever come out?

December 31, 2007 by Amit Bhawani

Nokia Aeon BlueThis concept phone from Nokia’s research and development team was said to have two touch-sensitive panels mounted on a fuel-cell power pack. The complete phone is virtual and the panels can be used for voice calls/ sending messages and enjoying the musical experiance from any panels.

It can also merge itself into other local products using the inbuilt sensors with the complete design similar to synaptics onyx and BenQ-Siemens’s Black box, replaces the complete tradional keypad. Though this concept phone was announced a year back still there are no latest news about it regarding the launch plans etc. Are these concept phones always planned and never really manufactured like the last announced Nokia 888.

Gphone – which was a service to be launched by Google was cancelled couple months back and google announced android

These were just the concept phones and I guess they would never come out into the public market. Having such bodies with touchscreens, if that would have come out the usage wouldn’t have been easy. And if at all we see it in the market, the pricing should be sky high so that no one would afford it.
The fuel-cell powerpack is another fake concept included in the already unbelievable concept.
