May 20, 2009 by Amit Bhawani

Do you want to create a web blogs based on wordpress Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil or Telugu Language then check out this excellent wordpress plugin which allows you to post in your wordpress plugin in your local language and you dont need to use any external tools to display your blogs content in Indian languages.

Hindi Blogging WordPress Plugin

I tried to test out this wordpress plugin to check if it really works before recommended it to my readers and i was easily able to get started. After downloading and activating the Hindi wordpress plugin, i got a small option under the Write Posts section below the writing section to select the Language and when activated i was able to see a small keyboard to understand the keys on my laptops keyboard and how to use it. Selecting HTML format while typing is required and you can directly publish the articles followed by this.

Features of this plugin :
These plug-in convert the simple comment box into a magic box where a person can directly type in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu. These plug-ins are helping user writing comments and helping owner write/edit a post/page in 8 Indian languages on WordPress. Typing is extremely simple as it is following transliteration keyboard layout.

Hindi Blogging Keyboard

Just start typing your content in english but with the localised language accent something like this – If you want to say ‘how are you’ in hindi you need to type ‘kaise ho’ and it will show the hindi version instantly.

    Just comment out the following two lines in the wp-config.php file:

    define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);
    define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

    After the change, they should look like:

    //define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);
    //define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

    This works like a charm!!

    Hey,

    I use the same theme Arthemia. By default, nested comments are disabled, or don’t work. Can you tell me how to get them back, as yours here?

    Thanks in advance!

      Its because for Nested Comments i use another plugin because i dont think this is a feature which comes inbuilt with Arthemia.
