Apple iPod Nano Review

April 11, 2008 by Amit Bhawani

To cater all of your video needs, 3rd Generation iPod Nano is on the block. It is with an amazing storage of 8GB which is on the flash memory that gives a better and stable performance while playing and when you are on move, which can really help you to store a good number of your favorite videos and can take it any where you like. The great Quality of the video is the standout feature in the latest iPod Nano. It works with the Mac and Windows operating systems, along with the iTunes. Screen sizes has really evolved in 3G as compared to 1G and 2G which now is 320×240 2″ .All three Generations of the iPod Nano offers specific set of features and facilities to its users.

In 1G iPod Nano, the battery stand was 14 hours and with the small size, that was actually a plus point in it and that way the preliminary reason of its promotion, it offered a screen resolution of 176×132 pixels and 16 bit colors and it was available in good 1GB and 4GB storage. Weight was barely 1.5 ounces and the addition of almost five games, was nice. But there was no support for new games to be added. But it still created a market for its own and as many as one million units were sold in 17 days, which was amazing.

2G iPod Nano was built with the considering the lows that were shown by the 1G. The design was again compact but this time it was scratch resistant, the problem that was reported in the 1G. The display was also an improved one with brighter screen and that was along with a double storage and battery size.

Then comes the real on, the 3G, with a shorter and wider design; it gives 2 inches 320×240 screen resolution. Along with enjoying your favorite videos, the additional option of games, makes it more entertaining, there are some preinstalled games and you get more by iTunes, iTunes, is the way if you want to transfer a file on to your iPod. Availability of different colors also makes it more worth of spending some money on it. Battery stand is also a reasonable one; you can go on to listen 24 hours of music and 5 hours of videos. It also contains a stop watch that might be another fascinating thing for some of the users. It has also come out to be a victorious in many of the durability and endurance test.

However, there are some of the issues that people think, Apple, should consider them, price is the one factor as it still seems to be on a higher side. Also, No synchronization over FireWire is available for iPod Nano and that, perhaps, make some people to criticize it due to lack of this facility. Despite these minor deficiencies, you will still find this mp3 the best in town for many of the positives that it brings to its users.
