Get IMEI numbers with Genuine IMEI Implant (GII) Program

July 1, 2009 by Amit Bhawani

If you are a Dual Sim Card based Chinese Mobile Handset owner, then its time you should either sell away your handset or else just dump it because the new government rules have banned all the handsets which have no IMEI nubers.

Mobile Standard Alliance of India is a Body in India which has the rights to issue IMEI numbers from GSMA. The program is implemented to make sure that all the handsets which has invalid IMEI numbers or no IMEI numbers are protected and the consumers who have already owned these handsets are safe because they would be given a new Genuine IMEI number to the same illegal chinese handsets.

IMEI Numbers Implant Program

Your handset has an invalid IMEI. As per Govt. directive, handsets with invalid IMEI will stop working on all operators. Get a new IMEI from Govt. Approved centers only at Rs199(including Tax). For centre details call xxx

* IMEI (International Mobile equipment Identity) is unique 15 digit identification number of the Mobile Handset.
* It is like the registration number of your vehicle. One can check the IMEI no of the Mobile Handset by pressing *#06#
* IMEI numbers are being allotted by five bodies authorised by GSMA.
* From IMEI number one can identify the make and model of the handset.
* To verify the IMEI number one can send a message β€œIMEI <15 digit IMEI No.> to 53232
* No two mobile handsets in the world should have the same IMEI number
* IMEI number is an important tool for the handset tracking.

You can check out your nearest mobile shoppe for the IMEI number which is issued under this scheme.

My friend has a China handset, and he is been using it for 1 year now. He is in kind of love with the extra loud amplifiers fit in that phone that takes away the ‘fine’ factor from music. I dont know how much effect this warning will have on him. But i will try suggesting him to throw the set in the dustbin now πŸ˜€ Its altogether useless and with the govt ban on top, the life of china mobiles soon to reach oblivion. Peace and all hail Nokia N 97 πŸ˜€

      Hi Anchal,

All you have to do is get a FIR reported in your nearest police station and a statement by your service operator (service provider) and submit a copy of FIR to the sirvice provider, they can find out where and who is using your cell phone, this works only if its an high funda phone…

This is just unfair idea of Government and TRAI

This is just to cheat innocent poor people in the name of security.

Even a 10 years old knows that mobile phone will not affect any country’s security.

This is just to ban good chinese phone as they supply at cheap prices in reach of poor people.

And government is getting huge taxes on Nokia and other brands.

This Bas… can do anything to get money and full their pockets with illegal money.

Many of my friends are still using the Chinese handset and they have seen no trouble with them and the government has never caught any. That was just a warning that faded away.
