Yahoo mail, a web based email service, is offered by Yahoo!. Over 260 million people around the world use this Free webmail service. At present Yahoo! Mail comes in two packages – Classic Mail and New Mail. If you have a yahoo mail account and you are unable to remember the password of your account, this article may offer you a good solution. Here we go yahoo password recovery.
Let us assume that you have created an account in the name of munnavaimbbs@yahoo.com. Since you did not keep your password in a safe place, you completely forget it and you receive the following error while trying to get logged into your account.

So, when you find this type of error, you have to click on the link “Forget your ID or Password” just below the sign in button.
You will now come into the Password Recovery Wizard page. The page will look like as follows:
Here we put munnavaimbbs and we are going to retrieve its password. Now put the code exactly as shown below (This code is an auto-generated code, so it is quite obvious when you will use this wizard, you will be getting a completely different code than this one. No matter what the code will be, you have to put the code as it is shown). After putting the code in the text box, click on the next button.
When you will click the next button, it will take you to the next page, which will look like as follows:
Here you will be asked to answer the secret question. This is the question that you selected at the time of registration. You have to put the answer exactly as you did during the registration process. Put it and click on the next button. The format of the answer is not case-sensitive, that means you do not need to bother about the small letter and capital letter stuff. ?
After putting the answer successfully, when you click on next button, it will take you to “Reset Password” page, which will look like as follows:
Here you will put your new password in the New Password field. You have to re-type again the password. It will be more protected and secured if you use alpha-numeric value for your password. In simple words, try to make your password in combination of letters and numbers and try to use special character in it. You can also mix uppercase letters and lowercase letters together, so that it becomes harder for others to guess and crack your password.

On 8/5/08 I was able to access my yahoo mail & groups. 8/8/08 I tried logging in and received msg that password was invalid. I have had this account for almost 10 years with no problems.
I have gone through all the online procedures to recover my password (which has not changed since I created the account), I have contacted customer service via email & 7 phone calls. Apparently when I created the account the date of birth I used is wrong. I receive the “Sorry, your password can’t be reset online” message when trying to reset online. Phone calls are a dead end as they say they cannot help me without a correct DOB. The account is vital to our non-proft and the group has over 700 members. Got a problem. Need your help. My Yahoo! email account is hacked and it’s password is being changed all the time by somebody. I have to restore it each time. The problem is: I cant permanently change the secret question/answer. If you go to “password recovery wizard” after each time I change secret questions/answers, it will ask you my new secret questions, but always has the “It’s not my question” button. When you click on this button, it asks me those old questions I entered when creating the account. People who hacked my account know answers to the old question. So, in other words, if I permanently change the secret questions and answers, my problem is solved. But, that “it’s not my question” button doesnt let me do so. how can i fix this?
Also, when deleting additional email address for the same account (the reason: the additional email is also hacked :D), it shows its status as: “scheduled for deletion”; but actually does not delete it. How can i deal with that also?

there should be a rule that original owner of an email, shall have a claim & possession of its emailadd. any complaint or verification shall lead to the original owner, which has the sole right. orginal info and data are kept & thus can be verified. any person who hack another email shall be ban for life.

I have a daughter with TBI and she has trouble remembering things like the correct password or id or even the correct answers to her security questions to get the information back with. I even tried to start up a new email and it has been lost as well. I want to either get in touch with yahoo and get this matter taken care of so she can keep going with her old address and pass word if we can.
