Accessing the internet using internet data cards is a very good option because you get very high speed connectivity at a decent cost, but what if the connection is not stable and you are at a location where the signals are not available? You still want to connect to the internet to check out your emails and you are left with a dead wireless data card.
When you are left with a Mobile Phone & Laptop and when you are looking for different ways to connect to the internet, here is the best one. Enable the Bluetooth option on your Laptop and also on on your mobile phone. I have tried this connected on the following mobile phone handsets ie Nokia N70, Nokia Flip Phone, Nokia 5310 and Nokia N73 and i have always recieved excellent internet connectivity.
First of all you need to make sure that you have a bluetooth software installed on your computer which comes preinstalled if your laptop has a InBuilt Bluetooth if not you need to download the connection application from the bluetooth device’s website. I have used a External Bluetooth device connected to my Laptop – IVT BlueSoleil which performs multiple tasks. BlueSoleil is a windows based software which helps you in connecting your Laptop or Desktop Computer wirelessly to another bluetooth enabled devices and not only your mobile phones. This can range from GPS recievers, Wifi Memory Cards, Digital Cameras, Headsets & Printers. You can form different networks and also exchange data between devices.
Dial-up to Internet via a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.
Once Bluetooth is Enabled on your Mobile Phone, you need to Pair both these devices and authenticate, following which you need to click on the Dial Up Networking Service and connect to the internet. The default dial-up number *99***1# only works with certain GPRS phones and service providers. If necessary, enter the correct dial-up number for your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Once the connection is successful you will be asked to create a shortcut on desktop.
You need to make sure that the Internet Access is available on your mobile phone through GPRS or Mobile Access before you connect your Bluetooth device.

Very good info…Since we r using Bluetooth definitely their wil be a distance constraints..I think after downloading Bluetooth connectivity in laptop we need to keep the mobile and laptop within 10 mts apart..I think this system is not much flexible…
Thanks for the link Kavitha

Will connecting a 3G enabled phone to laptop decrease its downloading speed as 3G provides 3.1 Mbps link speed (384 KBps), while maximum link speed of bluetooth connection is only 921 Kbps?
