I have taken photographs of my sister’s Wedding. I was the only photographer present there. So, I have to send those pictures to my sister’s family, but I don’t know the process of burning the digital camera Photos onto CD. Can you please help me out by explaining the process to me?
I am also not very sure about the way of transferring the digital photos into the PC. So try to describe that process for me. Another thing that I should mention is that I have a Windows XP Operating System.
How to Transfer the Pictures from the Digital Camera to the Computer in Windows XP OS?
The process is not very easy, but it is also not impossible to perform, if you read this guide minutely. Instead of plugging in your digital camera directly, you can use a flash card reader or an inexpensive card reader, but if you choose to transfer the files directly, then the process will be five times faster.
Let us describe the process of transfer by means of a cheap card reader for example, a SanDisk. First you will have to plug in the SanDisk unit into your Windows XP OS, it will be displayed as a ‘USB drive’. The Windows show that a unit could work much fast if it is plugged into a USB 2.0 port on your computer, in place of the USB 1.1 set by default.
Windows XP never launch the image capturing program to transfer the digital pictures from the memory unit of the camera. It displays only a drive having two folders, Trashes and DCIM. Open the folder DCIM and you will find a folder, which is named after the digital camera you used to take the images. Open the folder and you will get to see the photographs.
How to Burn the Pictures onto the CD?
First insert a writable CD in the CD Rom Drive of your PC. Then save the pictures in a folder on the desk top. Select the pictures which you want to burn on the CD. Right click on the selected pictures, and select the copy option.
Then again you will have to go to the My Computer. Right Click on the writable CD and choose the Write These Files to CD option.
After clicking on this option the burning process will commence and the pictures of your sister’s will be burnt onto the CD.
Thankyou very much for your help! The question and your answer provided the solution i needed also to burn photos onto a cd. Thanks!
