dear sir i m from dimapur nagaland n i m using plug to surf n also foton -ZTE Wireless Terminal but we r not even geting the speed of 50 kbps , out here i think they are having some technical problem n also they dont hav much knowledge about it ,so please support them to serve us better ,thank you.
tata indico plug-2-surf is the worst internet service provided by tata indicom.it provides a max speed of 15 kb/sec or sometimes upto 21kb/sec and so dont believe on what the ad says 153kb/sec!!!!that will never happen!!!its better to opt for bsnl broadband service!!!

I went ahead and got the Plug 2 Surf Whiz of Tata Indicom last month (Oct. 2009) and I am so glad that I took the right decision.
Previously, I had a landline based broadband connection of Airtel, and the connectivity was pathetic : I would get disconnected every 2 minutes, continiously inspite of their technicians having attempted to rectify the issue for more than 3 months !!!.
But, now with the Plug 2 Surf Whiz of Tata Indicom, connectivity is excellent 24/7.
And regarding the speed guys, bear in mind that that it is clearly mentioned upto 153.6 kbps. And, I regularly test the speed using http://www.testmyspeed.com and it gives my an average download speed of 112 kbps, which is quite sufficient for my internet needs.
And, what a relief it is, to be able to be connected to the internet without any connectivity interruptions.
Overall, I would rate the Plug 2 Surf Whiz as excellent, as it does deliver on it’s promises.
And, remember the Plug 2 Surf Whiz’s USB modem is a small and delicate device, which has to be handled with care, so that it functions well for a long time. Moreover, it comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. What else could I ask for ???

tata indicoms speed is very slow they show 153kbps but is actual speed is less than mentioned.
hello gyz n galz its waste of money if u gona opt 4 such a useless tata photon as it is super waste………trust me on dat…..i have a real bad expereince wid it……every 5 minz it gets disconnected sayin np network or sumtin……phew!……..and plus every alternate day weneva i on ma lappy n internet page it shows error…i thot there may b a prob in ma lappy but later i realised that the tata service is damn waste….i calld them n complained about it but those guyz dint turn up n later they came sayin that ma bill is unpayed n the due wz 1500..i gt shockd as i dint use net since 20 days as evrytym it came no network….so my only advce 2 ol who gona buy it just its a waste of money…..so plz better go 4 bsnl,airtel….thats ol i wana say….bye
I have purchse two month back ago Plug 2 Surf Whiz 1X USB modem 1024sxc for this instrument I had take OMH card vailid for two month, but only one month activated after that stop.
Second time I have told from customer support that Pre-paid Plan rupees 96/- and for net connection pay 201/- do this, after that eroor 691 is coming access still not connected
I have not cleared about GODATA sim card and OMH sim card for Network pupose and this card are not availaible in Pune city.
At present for this Modem if there is any Prepaid plan let me know about details information and Customer support team address alongwith mobile number Positively.
