It is of utmost concern for every user to speed up their laptops in order to manage and execute a plethora of tasks more efficiently and in an organized manner. Speaking for a particular case, speeding up one’s Windows XP netbook which is a mini laptop requires certain important measures to be properly understood and applied.

It is advised to display rather simple wallpaper on the screen which will add a bit to the speed. Moreover, it is suggested to upgrade the netbook with latest hardware accessories so that the speed of the system is enhanced to a considerable extent. If there is more than one program on the run, the user must aim to make the load on RAM lesser by simply minimizing the unused applications. Also, at the end of the day it’s the user who has to take the final decision that whether he really wants to run those dazzling animations at the background and compromise with the netbook’s speed.
Another important point is to try to start the Windows operating system only (by pressing down the Shift key), not the whole system of the netbook. To speed up the Windows XP Netbook, it is advised to lower the display screen’s overall resolution. Also, it is wisely suggested to perform regularly a defragmentation procedure of the hard drive that is very significant at the present context due to the reason that it will definitely allow a faster access to the required information and relevant database.
Sum and substance if the above mentioned measures are diligently followed then it would just be a cakewalk to speed up the Windows XP Netbook.
How about the famous defragmentation? Will a defragmentation really speed up my notebook? The reason I ask is because i did it to my pc and nothing changed… I cleaned up about 25% of space on my disc but nothing happed… Are there any solutions other that a registry cleaner?
Having a low graphics display, cleaning out the temporary files and defragmenting the disks are the most common and the best ways to speed up a laptop. Good post.
