How to set autoreply status on Google talk / Gtalk

February 11, 2010 by Chetan Bhawani

When you are busy working on something or not on the desk, but want to keep your google talk open, Gtalk autoreply utility comes to good use to let your friends know about the busy status by auto-replying them if someone messages you. It doesn’t voluntarily reach every friend to explain it, but just replies to those who ping you.

You just need to download the software, and the little app would need your gtalk account username and password, and the text that you would like to set, to let your friends know about you not being on the desk.

You have an option to either open it whenever you want to activate it, or when Windows starts always. There is no option to disable the feature, than just shutting down the app. This app can be tricky when you want to ignore someone purposefully but don’t want to block them totally.

Its a file of 1MB in size, and you can download from here or here.
