Apple inc. is one of the most profitable and elegant computer and other electronics company based in the United States of America. Their range of computers, called the Macs (Macintosh) and music players known as iPods have become the rage in today’s world delivering top notch performances as well as looking stylish and attractive at the same time with their minimalist but exclusive appearance. They also started manufacturing mice of their own, and one of their top of the line products is the Apple Mighty Mouse. This is one of their sleek models of input and agrees very well with their norm of white, minimalist creations.
The Apple Mighty Mouse is a button less USB or Bluetooth (wireless) mouse that has two capacitive sensors in place of the left and right mouse buttons. This means that a simple squeeze or a push on the hard surfaces that makes it react as it were a normal mouse. This forms a sort of touch-sensitive sensor that is stylish, neat and works almost magically. The beautiful mouse also contains a rotating ball that forms the scroll “ball”, giving a two dimensional control over the scrolling of a screen, i.e. both horizontally and vertically the screen can be scrolled.
Apart from this there are side areas that can be squeezed to give the input for the computer. The mouse also comes with an LED tracker in the wired (USB) version and a laser tracker in the wireless sensor for absolute accuracy and unmatched precision. The mouse also includes a built in speaker for auditory feedback, making it a truly high tech piece of equipment that is both smart and stylish. All four “buttons” are programmable to ensure that they are effectively used by the user. The Apple Mighty Mouse works in both Macs and PC’s, although support for PC’s is a little shaky till now.
Criticism for the Apple Mighty Mouse abounds in the internet. Since the “buttons” are completely touch sensitive, a right click can be interpreted as a left click by the computer if it is not properly programmed or if the user has his hand over the left part of the touch sensitive areas and is trying to attempt a right click. Other design flaws also make the scroll wheel gather dust and become unresponsive.
Yet, the Apple Mighty Mouse stands as one of the pinnacles of design achievement for an input device.
My wireless mighty mouse does not speak at all.
May be you should look at the following in your article; Even Apple does not claim this on their web.
