Original Story : I don’t normally talk bad about companies because i do accept the fact that there are times when corporate business get problems and they have to handle these situations but if someone is doing the same mistake again and again isn’t it considered as a planned fraud? Iam talking about a Online Shoe Store in India run by the name of BigShoeBazaar about which i had written a few months back when few friends of mine had made a few purchases from them on my personal recommendation are still waiting for their money to be refunded or their orders to be dispatched. If you read the BigShoeBazaar.com review you will find that the company staff had commented and promised that the problems would be solved but its never done.
Since, i was a customer of this company i was continuously emailed with their offers which i could move to Spam easily and make sure Gmail would never show me their any promotional emails but what about the Mobile Spam? ie the regular SMS they keep sending me? We cannot easily stop these unless we call the companies customer service and wait on the phone queue and then notify them to stop these SMS Messages.
Well seeing these SMS Messages i felt the company may be has got some serious staff now and is going to offer better services, lets try it again. When i visited the websites homepage the offer was available and then i booked a pair of those shoes and paid them via Paypal. The store shown me that there was stock available for the Size 6,7,8,9 &10. I checked out and waited for a order confirmation from their end. Guess what after 4 hours i get a email saying that the stock is not available and i need to buy something else, since the money is their account and i can use it while checkout. I sent them a email saying that i was not interested in buying anything else but didnt get any reply till now and again the team sent me the order cancelled email with the same message without anyone really replying to what i asked for which was just refund of my money.
If you check out the above 2 screenshots it shows that while i made my order there were 529 shoes sold by the store and while writing this blog post ie after 9 hours of my checkout, there were 892 shoes sold but now it shows that there is stock available for all the sizes which is a wrong claim and fraud. If there is no stock available there should be a direct listing of that and should not allow the buyers to shop that specific product instead of holding their payments. Now after a couple hours if i recheck the same products page it shows that the shoes are available for all the sizes which means that these people are looking for buyers to just buy them first and then convert those sales to upgrade to other products of higher value increasing their profits.
Here is a copy of the email they sent me which seems to be like a joke.
With deep regret I inform you that this model is currently out of stock in the size and color you had ordered. The manufacturers of this brand have informed us that the shoe is currently out of stock and the chance of availability of this model in next 2-3 weeks is not possible.
Our team has also tried to source it from wholesalers and retailers that are linked with Bigshoebazaar, but no one has this particular model avaliable. Unfortunately, this particular product is very fast selling and despite our best efforts to keep updated, this product got sold off completely.
We are very sorry for this very discouraging experience and understand how disappointing it is to wait for a product and not get it. Out of stock rarely happens on Bigshoebazaar and we try to ensure our customers get the best service possible. All possible sources have been tried to avoid this situation but we couldnt find this model anywhere. We would therefore be cancelling Order No.-1469811 for The following brand/s are cancelled (iD 3166) shoes. The discount coupons allotted to you are active and can be used for a period of 15 days to get a 10% discount. The amount paid by you would also be refunded directly to your account as reward points, you can either use these to purchase and alternate product or encash them for a cash refund.
We request you to kindly make an alternative choice of the product from our vast collection of fashionable – formal, casual or sports shoes and allow us a chance to serve you again. We request your cooperation and suggestions to improve ourselves in serving you better. All your queries and valuable suggestions will be forwarded to the concerned authorities at the earliest. I apologize to you personally on behalf of my company, for disappointing you this time and assure you of better services in future.
UPDATE : I received a Call from the BigShoeBazaar.com Team saying that i ordered 2 pairs of Shoes and Paid for one, which in my view is wrong, though cannot fight on this point since both parties can be correct and scripts are not always perfect. And regarding the above email they did accept that it was their mistake on sending a wrong email of Non-Availability of Stock while it should have been of Cancellation of the extra ordered pair and the Shoes were delivered to me within 24 hours of my Order which is finally the best part of this transaction. I did order another pair after this to review the service again and will again update with the same. Seems like the New Management at BigShoeBazaar is quite better and offering timely service.
