Original Story : I don’t normally talk bad about companies because i do accept the fact that there are times when corporate business get problems and they have to handle these situations but if someone is doing the same mistake again and again isn’t it considered as a planned fraud? Iam talking about a Online Shoe Store in India run by the name of BigShoeBazaar about which i had written a few months back when few friends of mine had made a few purchases from them on my personal recommendation are still waiting for their money to be refunded or their orders to be dispatched. If you read the BigShoeBazaar.com review you will find that the company staff had commented and promised that the problems would be solved but its never done.
Since, i was a customer of this company i was continuously emailed with their offers which i could move to Spam easily and make sure Gmail would never show me their any promotional emails but what about the Mobile Spam? ie the regular SMS they keep sending me? We cannot easily stop these unless we call the companies customer service and wait on the phone queue and then notify them to stop these SMS Messages.

Well seeing these SMS Messages i felt the company may be has got some serious staff now and is going to offer better services, lets try it again. When i visited the websites homepage the offer was available and then i booked a pair of those shoes and paid them via Paypal. The store shown me that there was stock available for the Size 6,7,8,9 &10. I checked out and waited for a order confirmation from their end. Guess what after 4 hours i get a email saying that the stock is not available and i need to buy something else, since the money is their account and i can use it while checkout. I sent them a email saying that i was not interested in buying anything else but didnt get any reply till now and again the team sent me the order cancelled email with the same message without anyone really replying to what i asked for which was just refund of my money.
If you check out the above 2 screenshots it shows that while i made my order there were 529 shoes sold by the store and while writing this blog post ie after 9 hours of my checkout, there were 892 shoes sold but now it shows that there is stock available for all the sizes which is a wrong claim and fraud. If there is no stock available there should be a direct listing of that and should not allow the buyers to shop that specific product instead of holding their payments. Now after a couple hours if i recheck the same products page it shows that the shoes are available for all the sizes which means that these people are looking for buyers to just buy them first and then convert those sales to upgrade to other products of higher value increasing their profits.
Here is a copy of the email they sent me which seems to be like a joke.
With deep regret I inform you that this model is currently out of stock in the size and color you had ordered. The manufacturers of this brand have informed us that the shoe is currently out of stock and the chance of availability of this model in next 2-3 weeks is not possible.
Our team has also tried to source it from wholesalers and retailers that are linked with Bigshoebazaar, but no one has this particular model avaliable. Unfortunately, this particular product is very fast selling and despite our best efforts to keep updated, this product got sold off completely.
We are very sorry for this very discouraging experience and understand how disappointing it is to wait for a product and not get it. Out of stock rarely happens on Bigshoebazaar and we try to ensure our customers get the best service possible. All possible sources have been tried to avoid this situation but we couldnt find this model anywhere. We would therefore be cancelling Order No.-1469811 for The following brand/s are cancelled (iD 3166) shoes. The discount coupons allotted to you are active and can be used for a period of 15 days to get a 10% discount. UPDATE : I received a Call from the BigShoeBazaar.com Team saying that i ordered 2 pairs of Shoes and Paid for one, which in my view is wrong, though cannot fight on this point since both parties can be correct and scripts are not always perfect. And regarding the above email they did accept that it was their mistake on sending a wrong email of Non-Availability of Stock while it should have been of Cancellation of the extra ordered pair and the Shoes were delivered to me within 24 hours of my Order which is finally the best part of this transaction. I did order another pair after this to review the service again and will again update with the same. Seems like the New Management at BigShoeBazaar is quite better and offering timely service.
What happened to the money you paid? what action you are taking?

I used the services of bigshoebazaar 3-4 times in college days (few years back ) and finds that delivery was bit late but the shoes were perfect !
Once i had the similar problem but later i choose another “shoe ID” and it get delivered soon !
What was your mode of payment, paypal or else?
They should clearly refund the payment in case they are unable to provide the shoes of your choice !
Why dont u try cash on delivery next time…?

I would disagree that we wouldn’t have given to same service. The only problem was a wrong mail, rest everything was as per procedure. We saw your comment much later than that. W.r.t mouthshut, you would see that there are no negative reviews since May. I think, I did explain you that the company has undergone a management change in June and they have been working hard to provide a good customer service. I do not agree with these negative comments, I recently ordered 3 pairs from Big shoe and after that I read all these negative comments and I was very upset by some of the comments about the quality of shoes delivered, However these doubts were shortlived once i received the shoes. bigshoebazaar is a big big fraud!they dont have all the shoes that are on display on their web site.they keep pictures of the shoes that are not at their disposal.its all a marketing gimmick by projecting the company as a big player.they source their shoes from various shops and ware houses.they should stop cheating people.business cant be coducted by cheating costumers.i had a very bad experience with them.
I have paid Rs. 1245/- by net banking transfer being payment against the order. I received a mail from big (FXXXX) shoe bazar stating that the shoes are out of stock. I have not yet received the money back till today ( I.E. 09-10-2009 ) in spite of my repeated follow up and phone calls to them. i have ordered for a reebok shoes of mrp 2599 on sep3rd and for the first 15 days there was no response from them .
after calling them repeatedly they said the product is out of stock and again after calling for another few days continously they said they r going to refund the money back .
and suddenly they say the product is available and its available as the product of the day at a disounted price for 1099 and will refund the rest of the amount 1599 and deliver the product .
i got the cheque of 1500 but still till oct9th did not recieve the product , on 7th october they say it has been dispatched and again calling up on 9th october they say the product is out of stock .
Just postponing by cooking up some stories daily ….if u order any product in bigshoebazaar its a waste of money, ur precious time and ofcourse even ur phone bills calling them daily for a period of one or 2 months .

Before buying the shoe I confirmed from them about availability of the item and proceeded to buy on their affirmation on 1/10/09 order no. BSB1010130 and price Rs1899/. But after 2 days I get mail that item is not available and money will be refunded. Since then they have been cooking up stories about delay in refund. Every time I call them up they tell me it takes time to send refund thru payment gateway.But nobody is giving me firm date or transaction no.This is going on for more than a month now. I sent personal mail to Mr. Nitin also but there is no response.

Your refund was posted on Oct 1st itself. In fact we never captured your payment. There seems to be issue with paysignet who havent been able to post your refund to your account. We have escalated this to highest level at paysignet. I am sure to resolve this within the week

I certainly believe that you are not following good market place practices. Your people at Customer Care are also taught to mislead customer. From very beginning they have been confirming to me that refund has been done. When I asked them their name they told me it is Anthony or Saroj and when I requested to speak to the person to whom I spoke last, person on line told me that he has left the company. This happened to me twice.Once Mr. Anthony told me that Saroj has left and other time Saroj told me Anthony has left. Since I was consistent in my calls I caught on to their pranks. I even asked them to direct me to you, they always told he is not available. This is your modus operandi and you are cheating others money and time.
I take your point of miscommunication and we take the point and try very hard to improve further. But our modus operandi is not cheating. Your refund was posted ages back and i have put transcript of mail communication where payment gateway has admitted and its their problem. You can’t still say that being our modus operandi.
i had ordered a pair of LEE COOPER shoes which was on sale for Rs.999/-.(original price Rs.1985/-)when i got the parcel from the courier, i was surprised to find a pair of local made cheap quality and rough finish shoe in a duplicate LEE COOPER cartons. then i contacted them over phone and they shamelessly admitting the fact and also smiling.so my point is never trust this site…BIG SHOE BAZAAR IS A BIG FRAUDSTER…JUST AVOID..!!!

2) Never mind the above point, if he still doesnt want, refund the entire money

The discounting is controlled by manufacturer. There are 2 issues here
1) Rs 650 was promotion price for shoe of the day. We have one shoe for 1-2 days at never before prices and then its goes back to original price
2) Rs 950 was regular discount price of the article for the sale season
3) The current price is again where manufacturer reduces the discount.
This is like sale. In any shop you will have a article on MRP till a day before sale. Then suddenly it goes on sale next day.
I bought a shoe in JAN and called the guys since the shoe started to tear off in 2 days so i called the support and they asked me to send it back. I did the same and then now after 15 days a guy named santhosh is speaking rude and not understanding English or not willing help.

Mr Nitin, my belief was that Bigshoebazaar has stopped fraud shopping. But it was changed 3 days back. I checked the site for Redtape sandals, i liked RSS054. It is still available in the site for a discount.

But inorder to confirm, i called them and enquired. The stupid who took the phone was saying it is available in size 43, he also told me he is going to check once again, and he replied that it is available. As the cash on delivery feature is not active on my pincode i had to pay in advance.
Then i told him that i have purchased from BIGshoebazaar before and at that time, you were saying it was available, and when i didnt get my shoes, you replied that it was out of stock.
I told him it should not happen now. Then that person let me check once more and he simply said that the RSS054 is not available.
I have assured myself-Never shop from Big—-bazaar again.
One more thing the previous purchase i have made was a redtape RSS053. I paid the full Rs1600 for that. Now its price is somewhat 1000. And you have send me a “Factory 2nd quality” product. The stitching gave away on the second day of use. Also I got that with lot of adhesive spillage all over the texture.
But i thank god, as i was delivered the product after 3 months of phone calls and emails.
Judging by the reviews I don’t know how they have survived so long in the market. I have typed “Bigshoebazaar scam” and “Bigshoebazaar fraud” and there was a list of complaints against their services. They should realise that consumers are not FOOLS.
And if they want to have a long term business expansion they should not indulge in such activities. At first I thought that they had the potential to do BIG in the foot wear market with a GREAT concept. But I guess they made a great blunder in their foresight.
I believe that it is not the end of Big shoe bazaar. They have lots of repairing to do with their damaged reputation. But I believe they should not repeat their past mistakes and amend their fallacies.

Tammana… Look at the comment dates and then look at comments on our facebook and ebay. The most comments here are old and not even .1% of positive comment that we have had on ebay.. I am mentioning ebay because its a independent platform. There are far greater comments in Facebook and our blog..

Do not worry. All these were there before but for the last few month I have seen enormous changes in Bigshoebazaar where they are too much customer focus always willing to solve the problem. No company can be perfect from Day1 they also had their set of problems as I have been using them for the past 3years and I myself had once experienced an issue and yelled. But today all my family n friends purchases are done from this website. Common guys n gals..open you eyes and see the kind of offers they are doling out daily..can u pick up a genuine Lee/Levis/Franco Leone/Hush puppies for the kind of cost they put..Common yaar..we have to sometime be sensible also

First order of mine went perfectly fine. Mr. Mishra helped a lot and was delivered way within the two days limit.
Second order which was supposed to be a gift for someone was bit messed up. after 3days they emailed me its failed the quality test and will not be delivered. They (manoj) called me and gave me an option to choose any other shoe or a full refund. They even removed that article from the catalog instantly. That is also good.
i chose a converse and paid in full and ask him to refund from my previous order. refund was done within 12 hours, that is very good. but the shoe that my sis in law received was not of the right size.
emailed manoj about it and he is sending another one again. He even agreed to change the color, which i selected previously. will update on this after i receive the article next week.
I must say they have improved a lot considering all these post of last year. Lets hope they keep on improving themselves.

I have purchased two shoes from BSB. For one i paid on delivery, for the other they said, the option not available at your pincode!! Barring that, the shoe and service was as promised.

I stay at hyderabad. I have purchased shoes and shirts from their site. The shirts have been very good. The shoes have been mixed but on no occasion is that because of the website. I chose the wrong shoes. I believe its easier to buy clothes than shoes without trying

i think online retailing will get better. Previously they charged delivery of Rs45/- for items below 1000. Now its down to 200.

The shoes are defective. I ordered a adidas which is defective out of box (sole has initials I and S missing, yellow colored S).
A lotto shoe of number 8 but it doesn’t fit , nowhere is the shoe size mentioned on the shoe, it does mention NO MARKING on the sole.
Cash on delivery sucks, you cannot check the shoes without buying it first.
You have to ship the shoes back to get a refund, If shipment is lost no one is responsible.
Shipment charges are redeemed as coupons at a max of Rs 100.

I think the name “ye bhi” is an open taunt to customers. It looks like they’re saying “Big shoe bazaar ek fraud tha… aur ab YE BHI…”; I just don’t see any other logical explanation of that name. They could have picked anything instead of that!

I have been a regular customer of Yebhi and have brought T shirts, kurtas, female footwear, shoes, shocks and many other items. The delivery has always been perfect. Nowadays the shopping cart is such that it highlights the items that are not in stock and will ask you to remove the said item. Most of the blogs regarding the non dispatch of items due to unavailability of stock has been taken care of by the management and so the change describes. The shoe quality is amazing. The products are not second quality.
Some problems may have been there in the past but now shopping on yebhi is full of choices.

Hey! I really got both the shoes of seconds. My lotto shoe has ‘no marking’ on it instead of a size, and it is very tight. The adidas shoe is worst, with a yellow ‘S’ , 😮 , and sole has several initials missing and distorted. Alas , what a waste? 🙁

All they need is your money thats it, the product quality, the service everything else sucks. I recommend you people to never buy anything from this site the yebhi team sucks man…….. Refund takes around two months minimum and they ill never tell you clearly about the refund. Check out other sites if you want to buy something and always buy on COD cuz if you dont then the money transferred by your credit or debit card will be digested by yebhi. My card was misused after i used it with yebhi…
