This this article we will show you how you could be able to connect the Magic Mouse with your Apple iPad Device. Previously we had written articles on how to pair the Magic Mouse with Windows & Mac. To get started you need to First make sure that the bluetooth is enabled in your Apple iPad Device. Tap on Settings > General > Bluetooth > ON.
Once you Enable the Bluetooth the iPad discovery tool will start searching for available devices in the connectivity range and display the results. At the same time the iPad is also available to be connected with other devices based on which we had earlier written a tutorial on How to Connect a Device to Apple iPad. Now in this case Apple does not support this kind of sync or pairing hence the device wont be shown on the list as displayed below.
Note that this tutorial is useful only for Jailbroken iPads since this is not officially allowed. You need to have the Cydia App installed on your device. Then search for ‘BTstack’ which will display you a list of apps available from this developer. Next tap on the ‘BTstack Mouse’ – which is a Bluetooth Mouse Driver to support standard HID Mice on your Apple iPod, iPhone & iPad.
Next tap on the ‘Install’ button available on the top right corner of the device. Once the installation is completed, the Cydia Installater would reload SpringBoard following which you will find that the whole iPad is rebooted. Once the App is installation, you will find a new Icon on your device dashboard. Tap on this and the Btstack Mouse Application is going to search for devices which are compatible. Finally once the pairing and connection is completed you can move to the Settings and change the Speed of the cursor and also Swap Buttons option.
