About Songza :
Songza is the brainchild of 23-year-old Aza Raskin — the president of Chicago-based software company Humanized, Inc., and the son of Apple Macintosh founder Jef Raskin. Over the course of a month, he and Humanized’s Web/Systems Architect Scott Robbin worked weekends to bring the idea to life. The site launched on November 8, 2007 and instantly generated significant buzz around the world. Hundreds of bloggers and news writers have praised its elegant user interface, beautiful design, and all-around utility.
Like all good ideas, both the concept and design came to Aza while he was in the shower.
The website is very simple on the homepage and you can search for any song using the search box with the results shown on the same page and when you click on your favourite song a flower kind of menu appears which displays the options to play, share, rate and add to playlist with the song being played instantly.

Songza is dead simple to use. There’s no registration, no software to download, and barely any interface. Type the name of a song or artist into the search box, pick the one you want from the search results, and click on it. A flowerlike menu appears that lets you play the song, rate it, watch the YouTube video, embed it on your blog or social networking page, or e-mail a link to friends. You can also create a playlist, which will be available the next time you visit Songza (assuming you ever decide to leave, that is).
Interesting technology. I copied it on my site, started as “Amit Patel Of India says”.
The perfect web-site for all your musical needs. Please don’t give up your original concept, you have to fight “the good fight of faith.”
More than satisfied!!!
A good search engine for music lovers. I still couldn’t find a few tracks that are quite popular, but still having something unique and that too for free, has something less which we can’t complain about. Making it work like a jukebox, rate the music and share, all being possible in it, it’s a cool site.
