Does John Reese Owned Blog Rush Really Work?

September 18, 2007 by Amit Bhawani

Income.com John ReeseJohn Reese owner of Income.com has launched a new service called blog rush where in blog owners just need to add a small pice of code on their blogs and relevant blog posts are shown on every blog offers lots of traffic exchange on relevant niche.

I have seen many people using blog rush on their web blogs and also watching that the service has got a great achievement in terms of traffic burst with alexa touching Top 500 websites ranking as shown in the below screenshot.

Blog Rush Alexa

But on the other hand i have found many bugs in this new system where in –

  • Irrelevant Blog Posts are Shown
  • Blogs who are not into this network are also shown on the Live Widget – website-review.net(Example)
  • Stats are not Updated though 24-48 Hours time frame is passed
  • Member Backend pages still are under construction
  • I think its the same was as income.com was always under construction this blogrush also would be under construction :p

    Under Construction Amit

The Above images clearly show that a new website website-review.net is shown live on the blogrush widget and it does not even have the code on its blog and has just a default wordpress page and post (3 months old). Does this mean are they relevant posts? No one other than John Reese can answer this.

HaHa ….. may be you are right. THere is difference between making a project and making it a success. Lets see if it is successful. Probably not, because for a project to become a long term success, resources such as finance , manpower etc is required for which proper monetization of the website or the project is required. Now just imagine how will BlogRush make money ????? and if it doesnt make money , will it survice

Aditya – Their main costs are just high server expenses and this could be later recovered when they advertise their advertisers blogs on these members widgets which we members would never know about 🙂
People need to think again, why will john reese start a free project whose main domain is Income.com

john reese not handling only one project, in his belly he working on alot of projects ( some are underground and some are not yet working ) so maybe he even don’t have a time to hire another’s programmers who can handle this. 😛 but every bloggers seems like happy to put that code in his website.. so its just NEW one program, so no worry. That project will also go to HIT like his other projects…

As I’ve heard from early users… they are getting no traffic! You are not even going to get any from BlogRush.

The reason? Bloggers will place the widget at bottom of there sidebar where no one is going to click. So how do you get visitors transition when nobody is clicking?

I came up with a similar idea few months back. Will you guys want to use a better widget which can actually provide you real traffic?

but did john really think about the smaller guys that just started blogging and are in need of some traffic? it seems to be the algorithm is meant for the bigger bloggers and authors

@ Ravish – Everyone would like to use a better widget if it can provide real visitors, try out if you can 🙂

After seeing everyone talking about the traffic increase I decided to move the widget from the bottom of the sidebar to the top.

Not sure. I am a little skeptical unless it is up to date and also live. It would make my site look bad with their app is under construction all the time…

I’ve used BlogRush and I think its a great concept. However I’m not convinved the blog matching algorithm is sound. The whole point of the site is to improve user experience (not simply create links). It frustrates me to see so many widgets miss that point.

Recently I switched over to Arkayne. The widget is simpler and it can be blended in perefectly with my blog Also I think their algorithm is much better. The links at the bottom of my blogs are way more relevant. Check it out if you have a chance, I’d love to see this widget more:

@ pkenjora – You are right also the CTR is damn low in this system which is the reason iam not running it on this site except the homepage section.

I’ve not heard anything good about blog rush. Seems you use up alot of realestate on your page to get less than .1% click through

Hey everyone, I was wondering whether or not to place this blog rush widget on my blog, and I also wondered if it would actually get me traffic.
