Sorry i dont sell Text Link Ads on this blog

October 31, 2007 by Amit Bhawani 17 Comments

I got 3 requests from the last 2 days about buying advertising space on this blog and 2 of them were via email and 1 was via yahoo messenger and i had to reject their offers because after this october page rank update and page rank reupdate iam totally against people trying to buy/sell text link ads on their websites.

Dont Sell Text Links

The reason for this is Google is not accepting webmasters selling text link ads to boost serps[search engine result page results] and buy/sell text link for the sake of PR[page rank] gain. You can always advertise on this blog via adwords by selecting the CPM advertising section but iam no way interested in selling text link to other website owners/ advertisers who are looking for PR juice from this website.

This also includes a clear cut No to paid reviews on my blog , since iam seriously not interested in making money from the advertisers who are looking for backlinks from paid reviews, because many websites did these mistakes and finally got nuked by google in the last page rank update

Here is a small list of the websites which got penalised in the october page rank update

  1. www.autoblog.com PR6 > PR4
  2. www.forbes.com PR7 > PR5
  3. www.engadget.com PR7 > PR5

I absolutely agree, mate. Let’s focus on content, original services, et cetera, as this is what makes the real $$$ rather than obsessing about PR and selling/buying links.

By the way, you might want to fix the adbrite advert that’s on the bottom right … the text is hardly visible.

Right said paul content is the king always.
I would like to change the adbrite ads’s font but since its run on some other sites too , a single change would change all the ads. I guess i need to do something about it later. 🙂

Well I am really not against selling links, But Google really dominates the search. So I think that we have no option but to abide.

Giving a link to a quality site is never a issue as i think…. & I think Amit understands this as he is giving free dofollow links to his commentors 🙂 and reviewing is a paid income to blogger and he can give a link to their site wholeheartedly i guess…

I really dont have any problem regarding this because, I dint register to text link ads, but thank you for the notification because I decided to register to text link ads. if i did this, my blog is page rank 0 blog, it might not hava acquired a pge rank at all.
But i really dont know why google does all these selfish things regarding payperpost and text link ads.
