There is no need to download a instant messenger client software on your PC/Laptop because they are just limited to your single computer and what about the instance when you are on a move and are using a public computer which has no instant messengers installed? Its the time you start looking for a online messenger websites where you can login and stay connected.
Try out eBuddy which is a online web messaging service offering you a facility to login to MSN hotmail messenger + Yahoo Instant Messenger + AIM + Gtalk + Myspace and also a option where can login to all of these at the same time with one of the messaging service to be the Initial network named as the eBuddy Multi Network Web Messenger.
There was previously another similar service by a website called Meebo.com but the eBuddy service looks more dashing and secure. For using the web version of these instant messengers all you need is a browser which has Javascript enabled and the same service works when you try to use it from your mobile phone device because its a big task to download individual softwares on a mobile phone. The mobile phone browser should support xHTML (or) WAP with connectivity available to Cell Phones, PDA’s, Sony PSP and Nintendo DS.The best part of eBuddy is that you have multi-network feature.
I’ve been a long time meebo fan – so I will have to check this out.
Actually – now that I tried it – I no longer can say that I will use it…I will stick with meebo… EBuddy – crashed firefox – causing it to use 100% cpu for 5 minutes (till I closed it) with just a gmail account open in another tab.
I will try it in a few weeks maybe – to see if it was just a glitch.
@ Matt – I didnt find any problem on my side when i reviewed eBuddy, anyway may be a temporary problem and the team can work on it to remove the bugs because meebo is a very big competitor to them.
