How to Get Google Adsense Account Approval

January 2, 2010 by Amit Bhawani 109 Comments

Webmasters and upcoming Blogger regularly send me a email regarding Google Adsense Accounts because when they apply for the same most of the times they are rejected for multiple reasons and the blogger keep searching for different ways to get a Adsense Account Approval. Here are some of the emails they had sent me recently.

Google Adsense Logo

Hello amit can you please help me create an adsense account. I have started a new website, but adsense disapproved my application.

I just want to know, how to set up an adsense account? I’ve tried before, then my site was not fully ready, so google considered my site not eligible for adsense, later, done modifications to site structure, I tried to set up adsense account again, but google said that my google id cannot be granted to adsense, (as i was trying to set up adsense with my email account, i tried before). Google gave options to create another account just for adsense, but i want to set up it to my current id.

You have written much about google adsense but my problem is still unsolved. As we all knows that google adsense approve blogspot blogs in his publishing network but when i tried then i got with a reply that you should have a top level domain for it. What to do?

First of all let me make you clear that you should never apply for a Google Adsense Account for your friends or known people because its them who should be doing it. Also the application Page would even record your IP address, hence to be on safe side always recommend the person who is looking to get a Adsense Account to apply for the same themselves. Lets go the current rules for the application of your new account as per Google Guidelines :

Unacceptable site content: In order to participate in Google AdSense,
publishers’ websites and application information must satisfy the
following guidelines:

1. Your website must be your own top-level domain (www.example.com and not http://www.example.com/mysite).
This means that you should be applying for a Google Adsense Account with your Root Domain Name and not from a Sub Folder. You can also apply from Sub Domains like blogspot.com or blog.com which offer you free blog services. Make sure that you apply from your main website and not from a new blog because a established website has more chances of application approval.

2. Your domain must have been registered and active for at least 6 months before you apply for AdSense.
As previously mentioned, the service requires you to apply from a established website rather than a new one because a new blogger or website owner is not going to make any good amount of money in the initial stage and recently we have seen many fraud account holders who opt for wrong tactics in getting clicks and making money.

3. You must provide accurate personal information with your application that matches the information on your domain registration.
This requirement is important because in this case the Adsense Team can verify the ownership of the Domain Name through which you are applying for a new Account. I have come through many fraudsters who even have applied for a Google Adsense Account by entering my website URL in the application process but were rejected because of the Whois Information.

4. Your website must contain substantial, original content.
This is a very obvious point because unless a website have Original Content, it wont be making any good amount of money. Not only counting the money part but posting Duplicate Content is totally wrong and is not allowed, hence if someone applies for a new Publisher Account for a website with copied content then it would be rejected.

5. Your site must comply with Google AdSense program policies.
There are multiple Google Adsense Policies which have to be perfectly implemented and made sure you dont break any of them. The most important of which is not posting advertisements on pages which have Illegal Content.

If you have made sure that you have taken case of all the above listed points and still not able to get a new account then there are some ways you can get it. This is by applying for a Google Adsense Account through different services like Google Knol, Hub Pages, Blogger Blogs or most major Blogging Services etc. Let us know if you have any other ideas for other upcoming publishers who are looking for a new Adsense Account.

This is the issue currently with many publishers who are unable to get new publisher accounts. Hence the emails posted in the blog posts.

Yes we do have a idea of the service, but i dont think airtel will be helping you out. Only thing is they are going to allow javascript codes to run the adsense advertisements. https://www.amitbhawani.com/blog/develop-new-site-airtel-website-builder/

You mean the code of the adsense account owned by airtel and they will pay to the publisher.

No they would allow the customers to get javascript access so that the customers can apply and get adsense account and display the ads. In the smaller packages they dont allow java codes which means that even if ad codes added, they wont be displayed.

Hi Amit, its been a pleasure visiting your blog. I think it is one of the best blogs on adsense. Well, I am also facing the same problem. I had to remove google adsense ads from my blog after it began to display public service ads. I was told that I didn’t verify my adsense account. I was hell-shocked because I didn’t expect it. My adsense ads were running nicely without any problem from last one year. And now, I am getting this explanation from Google with the only solution – I have to enter the pin code which they will be sending to my address. I was to get that pin number 6 months back and still now..I am waiting for it. Please tell me what can I do now. Is there any way out to this problem ?

    Hi Amit,
Thanks for sharing valuable info on adsense. I am an adsense publisher from Hyderabad. I have two doubts reg adsense. pls clarify and help me.

    1. I have started 2 websites in May 2010 with the inspiration drawn from the success of my blogs. Shall I have to wait for 6 months to display adsense ads on that new websites (as like we wait 6 months for applying adsense) ? I did not get this info anywhere and finally keeping hopes on you. I don’t want to waste my traffic to that sites. pls clarify. There are about 100 posts on each of those sites.

    2. Shall we invest time and money on websites considering the future income from adsense? I like to take risk through starting website and shall work hard to write content. Is it wise spending through websites or better to post on a blogger blog?

Thanks again for very useful postings and value added info.

      1. You can try out other ads like clicksor, adbrite, chitika etc before you publish adsense ads.
      2. Invest time so that you get traffic which can be monetized with different programs like Adsense or any others. Try to avoid free bloggers blogs and get a self hosted blog.

If you already have a Google Adsense account then there is no need to wait for the ads to be displayed because those rules are for new adsense publishers.

Normally there is no limit on the number of accounts registered for a website but if the owner if complaints there can be issues. The 6 months rule seems to be a recent one and this is to make sure people dont just signup for quick money.

Do you have any idea why my blog http://GadgetParlor.com is getting declined?

The disapporval mail Google sends says the following:

    Issues:

    – Page type

    ———————

    Further detail:

Page type: Your website is a type of website that we do not currently
accept into our program. Such websites include, but are not limited to,
chat sites, sites that drive traffic through cybersquatting, and sites
that use excessive keywords in the content or code of their pages.
    ————-

Please let me know what I can do differently to get this approved. One more thing I wnated to know is, do I need to run a blog on Google Knol, Hubpages, Docstoc for 6 months to get approved? Does six month rule applies here as well?

When I opened your blog, it’s asking for password. This maybe reason for rejection.

I want to add to the discussion that we cannot apply for google adsense account from hubpages anymore (which amit had suggested in this article). I have been in hubpages for a while and have started getting traffic . Now I want an adsense account so I can start earning revenues but sadly adsense applications through hubpages are no longer available . I have good content and traffic in my hubs . Nevermind I also want an account badly for my hubpages as it is growing in traffic numbers heavily so do I have to work hard another 6 months on blogger writing useful content and growing traffic?

I also want to know the exact url of some docstoc [dot] com mentioned above and do I have to work hard and wait there too? (Please do not think I am not able to work hard etc I just dont want to work twice for the same thing :P)

You need to work on your blog. Make it more active add some posts. The reason i think the google adsense is not being accepted is inactivity.

My problem now is this. I submitted my site…. Submitted it one month ago and it was rejected because they said, it’s under construction…

Then now… This is their reply: Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. While reviewing your
application, we noticed that your account information matches a currently
approved AdSense account associated with je_bb@yahoo.com. Because our
policies do not permit multiple accounts, we’re unable to accept your new
application at this time. However, please remember that the ad code from
your account can be used on any website that complies with our program
    policies.

    You have the following options:

    1. If you have forgotten the password to your account, visit
http://www.google.com/adsensepassword . We will then work with you to
    reset your password.

    2. If you aren’t able to sign in to your AdSense account or change the
email address associated with your account, we can close your existing
account and open a new account with the application you recently
submitted. Any account settings, reports, or earnings less than $10 (or
local equivalent) from your closed account will not be paid out or
transferred to your new account, according to the AdSense Terms and
    Conditions ( http://www.google.com/adsense/terms ). You’ll also need to
replace the current ad code on your site with the code generated from your
    new account.

    * Group-buying sites like Groupon and Living – Social are being
used to purchase non-traditional items. Like i mentioned
before, facebook should always be apart of your repertoire.

In recent months, social media voting has become very much
important to determine the popularity level of business in respective niche.
