June 23, 2010 by Amit Bhawani

The iPhone front glass is called as front panel which if is broken you can easily get it replaced from services like ifixit.com which charge around 50$ fees for this small job. Now in order to perform the same stuff at your home you need to order a home kit and then try the process as shown in the below demo. Initially you need to remove the 2 screws at the dock connector and then use the suction cup and pull the iphone back display assembly towards the bottom. This will remove the complete back portion of your device. Next remove the two side screws which are placed near the sound options. You can check out the detailed process at the following video which is quite interesting and useful for people who want to try this stuff at home.

Tools Required for Replacement :

  • Adhesive strips
  • Heat gun or hair dryer
  • Metal Spudger
  • Phillips #00 Screwdriver
  • Small suction cup
  • Spudger
