How to Share an App Between 2 iPhones via iTunes Accounts

When you have two iPhones and you purchased an App separately on each iPhone and want to have both the apps on both iPhones without buying an App for the second time, Then the Simple solution is to Authorize both iTunes accounts in both computers and re-download the apps.

Here is the Step by Step description of the procedure:

Requirements:

• 2 iPhones
• 2 iTunes Accounts

When is it useful:

When you have used one account to buy a game, and another account to buy another one. The goal is to have both games playable on both phones legally with no hacks and not paying for the second time.

Step 1:

Buy the App from one iTunes Account and Logout from that account

Step 2:

Then go to the 2nd Computer and login with the 1st iTunes account with which you have purchased the App

Step 3:

Stay in iTunes and go to the App Store and click on the “Buy App Button” of the App that you have earlier purchased from the previous computer.

Step 4:

iTunes will recognize that you have bought the App earlier, and will let you download the App free of Charge without charging for the App download.

Step 5:

Then the App is downloaded onto iTunes in the second computer but through the first account. So now you will be having the same App downloaded and saved into 2 different iTunes by paying  only once through one account.

Step 6:

Go to Applications in the 2nd iTunes Account and then confirm the Download.

Step 7:

Now you can Log out of the First iTunes Account.

Step 8:

You should now Log in through the second iTunes Account of the Second iPhone into which you want to put this App.

Step 9:

You should now connect your 2nd iPhone to the computer after removing the first iPhone and wait for the phone to appear in the left side bar of your iTunes and Sync & Play.

Step 10:

While you Sync your iPhone it will automatically Transfer your Downloaded App into your 2nd iPhone.

Step 11:

After ejecting from iTunes disconnect iPhone from the computer and the App is seen in the iPhone screen.

Note: The Downloading part and the usage of the App is perfectly normal, the only difficulty is with the upgrade of the app, while upgrading the App you will be asked the username and password of the 1st user, so make sure you don’t upgrade the app.
