HP TouchSmart Tx2 Touch Screen Laptop Review

Touch Screen Laptops are the latest trend all over the world with more and more consumers looking to buy these type of models. HP has launched a new multi-touch technology notebook PC which can surely be your next laptop.

A Laptop PC which is really good people who travel a lot and need to show demonstrations to their clients easily, because you dont need to use your normal input devices like mouse & keyboard but use the screen directly to use the laptop. The HP TouchSmart tx2 comes preinstalled with a HP MediaSmart digital entertainment software suite which allowes uses to easily handle files such as photos, music, video and web content by simply touching the screen.

The advantages of using HP TouchSmart tx2 Laptop is that you can use multiple functions at the same time, ie you can use more than one finger at the same time. This feature is very useful when you want to drag and use similar functions like pinch, rotate, create a arc etc which you would normally try to process using a keyboard.

These TouchSmart is available in three versions ie PC, display and tablet and they come with a rechargeable digital ink pen, users can turn the tx2 into a tablet PC to write, sketch, draw, take notes or graph right onto the screen – and then automatically convert handwriting into typed text. This laptop weighs around 4.5 pounds and has a 12.1-inch diagonal BrightView LED display and an HP Imprint “Reaction” design.

Its powered with AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor or AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor and built on Windows Vista Home Premium, the tx2 will be made available worldwide in an array of configure-to-order options and at a starting price of $1149.

    I personally feel is that Vista is not that user friendly. Moreover if you are just a student then XP is best for you in any case if you are an employee then there is no point discussing it.
    Moreover if you go to the HCL laptops you will find many options and

    will HP produce a similar swivel touchscreen laptop which run on window 7 in the future? I love the Touchsmart tx2 design. Too bad its running on AMD processor & Vista OS. I would really love to see it powered by Intel Core 2 duo or i3 or i5 or maybe i7 plus any ATI or Nvidea graphics. Then it runs on window 7 OS. It will be the best laptop if Hp can make one, ‘coz I would really eager to try the touchscreen with photoshop editor. What do you think?
