Implementing is Important than Planning in Blogging

October 12, 2007 by Amit Bhawani 14 Comments

Implementing is important than planning < This is the line iam sure i would have told to everyone on my instant messenger contacts, my business associates, clients and i guess to almost everyone i know, but there are many reasons for this and let me show you some real good examples of this.

Check out some facts and live examples :

Planning Implementation Amit

Example 1 :

Why do blogs fail ? > Ever imagined why 80% of blogs on the internet fail to make it big ? I was on the same line today, it was already 23 hours and 50 minutes and I didn’t make a post on my blog all due to the tons of work on head !

The above post is taken from one blogger Aditya’s Blog who was talking a lot on why do most blogs fail and the main example would be his own blog which is going to fail if he does not update it regularly. Teaching others would be easy but when the time comes where the teacher himself has to implement then things worsen and everything goes vice versa. If Aditya would himself blog daily then obviously his readers would learn this tip from the experiance.

Example 2 :

Abdul Vasi’s Blog > Entrepreneurship is about chasing dreams. It is about breaking rules, unshackling oneself and setting off freedom. It is a battle worth fighting, a calling that every one yearns for. This web blog is a rolling testimony to entrepreneurship as your life’s calling. Read to Reap success !

A Blog started by a experienced web master who is into web hosting, web designing and many other online business, he updates his blog frequently with excellent topics but who in the world reads it? Now this is clearly a example where in the blog owners is updating his blog regularly with excellent original and useful information but there is no one who would read it, hence he needs to promote it a bit in the beginning.

Example 3 :

Harry Inc Blog > A Blog started by a webmaster from mumbai, used to be updated regularly previously but now seems to be complety dead, now guess why is that?

Business.com domain sold for $345 million > A update made regarding the sale of business.com domain name which is a great news but whats the use of a update where in 75% of the content is quoted from others website?
Auction Ads sold to Media Whiz > Another good informative update posted but who in the world would like to read a post with 12 affiliate links with in the post? Just a advice would be that try to gain publicity first like other big bloggers then try to stuff in the affiliate links with the posts.

Example 4 :

Abhinav Speaks > A blog started long back with the idea to be a great blogger like problogger.net but he could never do that and his blog still boasts the Hello World Default Post.

Hello World > The default post which is never changed makes any of his visitors to never come back to this dream blog, a clear example of Implementing is important than planning. Though this guys is one of the biggest money making ebooks buyer since he buys every new ebook related to marketing, money making , online business and reads it but the only thing he does not do is implement those ideas on this blog which makes it a dead blog. Abhinav also bought another domain to blog by name abhinav.tv but again the same issue no implementation. Also i would like to add another advice always stay with one domain rather than running many.

Example 5 :

Shoemoney.com > A Blog which everyone who especially is a webmaster would obviously know is read by thousands daily and recently shoemoney got some guest writers who would blog when shoemoney himself is not available

You want to be rich? Then start talking shit > A post made by Neil patel which was not really worth getting published on shoemoney.com, and you can understand the reason if you read the whole post completely.Does that post really make any sense?

Example 6 :

SumitBahl.com > A blog started seeing other friends in network blogging to keep in pace with them, but did he suceed?

I can say NO, just because he started seriously for the first 3 days and then found no one reading his blog, decided to stop blogging and now the blog is left unupdated with no returning visitors since who would like to come to a blog with the same information in it.

These are some good examples where you can see how implementation is important, with dedication, maintaining quality and promoting all at the same time,so guys dont just Dream, build, implement and promote!

    Nice post amit!!

The only reason blogs fail is lack of updation.
I started my blog seriously, i will start updating it soon. I am a little too occupied with other work ATM.

But, I dont think I can ever spare time/resources to promote a personal blog. I don’t plan to put adsense on my blog or any other form of monetization. I just want to keep it a personal space.
