I normally try to stay away from these kind of articles, but believe me this time it really made me feel bad. I have been in touch with many PR agencies which keep sending me their news and product launch information, for which iam thankful to them and in return i publish them on my blogs and give their news a more audience. Recently i was contacted by a Agency called Interface who was interested in advertising a advertisement of Tata Docomo on my blog’s sidebar at a fixed monthly pricing. I sent them my offer and after a few email exchanges we finally decided to run a campaign on monthly basis for a sidebar advertisement.
Next today i got a call from one of their employee who wanted to confirm why one of their Press Release was not published on my blog. Generally when a blogger is not compensated for any of these free PR publishing, there is no compulsion to publish these articles. In my case i used to publish them because that would help my visitors in staying updated and help the ad agency in getting more eyeballs to their promotional stuff.
While i was not really interested in publishing the article here, which was published 2 days back at amitbp.com without any of their requests, i was called by pooja and was asked by them to forcible post the article.
On the phone, i simply asked her, Is it compulsory to Publish the Useless Publicity Article and the answer was YES, now i need to understand under what reason and under which blogger FTC rules iam in a compulsion to publish a article, when a PR agency is forcing me to do the same. Can some force us to publishing anything on our blogs and we stay silent? Am still unable to decide in this issue because i feel the PR agencies are more powerful than the single bloggers, hence they are forcing us to do these kind of acts.
The person who called me was Pooja from Interface.co.in and i personally feel i did a big mistake accepting their advertisement on my blog.
Hi amit after getting so much success in blogging. No one can force you. You should sign any contract after reading it properly. After all low quality post can destroy the year of reputation easily.
Hi, i am agreed with Rahul, Amit is great blogger and ideal for every blogger. Amit No one can force you.

Hi Amit, this is a very bad incident and we all bloggers will take a note of this company and make sure we avoid their irresponsible staff. How can they force you to post their useless offers.
Do you publish these kind of PR articles for free of cost?
haha, yup that’s the trick.
we blogger actually have the power, while those kind companies trick us and used us to get what they want.
well, be aware next time..
