Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Apps Wall Vs Apple Apps Wall

May 3, 2011 by Amit Bhawani

Microsoft could not resist from bringing out a Wall with all the Windows Phone 7 Apps displayed, but instead of going for a Live Wall run on large screens Microsoft opted for the energy efficient way of just going static.

Microsoft Apps Wall

While going through the blog I Started Something we found several photos which gave a glimpse of the three walls which were shown at the MIX11 conference which is obviously inspired by the Apple’s App Wall. Even though this was not having the live screen display where in Apple was showing the latest purchased Apps, Microsoft was displaying all the App Icons next to one by one.

Apple Matrix Live Wall : Now here are the pictures of the Apple’s Awesome Live Apps Wall which was shown at their events. On those screen you find 30 Mac Pro Towers with Mac OS X Snow Leopard along with apps synchronized on 24″ LED Cinema Displays. The visualization shows the activity of around 50,000 popular apps from the Apple App Store.

From both of these displays which one did you like the most? The one which keeps changing or the one which remains static. In short Apple or Microsoft, whats your favorite?

Of course, Microsoft is always my favorite. Also in this case, MS is saving more energy compared to Apple. Fancy is not always good.
