Read National & Regional Newspapers on Mobile Phone

September 12, 2009 by Amit Bhawani 2 Comments

Do you want to get the latest news on your Mobile Phone? If you try to access your local daily newspapers they wont be available because not all Newspaper agencies would post their content online and even if they are updating their news online the websites wont allow you to read their content on most mobile phone models.

Try out NewsHunt which is a application for your mobile phone capable to display National English & Regional Language newspapers. Even if your mobile phone handset cannot display fonts and content in local languages this application can sort out this problem and the only stuff you need is a GPRS Enabled mobile phone. Currently the following newspapers are supported by NewsHunt – Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, Eenadu, Prajavani, Deccan Herald, Dainik NavaJyoti, Dinamalar, The New Indian Express, Andhara Prabha, Indian Express, Lok Satta, Kannada Prabha, Divya Bhaskar, Mathrubhoomi, Malayala & Manorama.

You need to check out their website and make sure that your Mobile Phone handset is compatible with their application because the most popular 500 mobile handsets are listed on it and if its not available yet you need to wait. Since this is a Rediff.com India Ltd funded company you dont have to worry about the product and just download the application, instead of searching for your model you can also send an SMS ‘HUNT’ to 57333 and get started.

A nice one. Good enough when we are most of the time online and don’t want to give some time to offline reading of the newspapers.
