There are millions of Mobile Phones, Costly Digital Cameras and Laptops lost by people every year. I have personally been in contact with many friends and contacts who are ready to shell out lot more money in recovering their gadgets back than the amount they paid for purchasing these. We had previously written a few articles on recovering lost mobile phones & recover lost Laptops
The Cameras would have very important, personal photos which cannot be recovered because there is no way someone can go back to the past using a Time Machine and again celebrate their engagement or visit the honeymoon destinations. Hence its better to pay any decent amount of money to the person who would be helping you in getting back your important valuable photographs. The same case happens with your Laptops, which in case gets lost would also make you loose all your Important Passwords, projects, logins to your bank accounts, financial services, content in the form of text, images, videos etc all of which would be valued at thousands of dollars or more which is very very high when compared to the original cost of your device.
Hence, am sure its very important to better go for a system where in professionals would help you in recovering your lost devices at a price which is lot less than the value of your digital stuff stored within them. This service is being offered by a company called StuffBak which deals completely into protecting your Mobile assets ie all the products which can movable and can be lost easily.
The service at StuffBak is simple. Initially you need to activate a Label which is linked to your account and would specify the Label ID for each device. Next the Label can be stuck on the device and when its lost the person who has found the product would read the message on the device which says ‘Reward for Return’ along with the contact number for the same. Anyone who has not stolen the device and has honestly found the device would obviously be happy to get a reward in return of the old gadget.
Since the contact number is a Toll-Free Number anyone would be interested in atleast contacting once and getting more information on what kind of reward they would get. Lets say if you lost a Apple iPhone 3GS which is quite used and you would still offer a 200-300$ reward for returning it because of the important data stored in it, don’t you think the person who found your mobile would be more interested in returning it for a reward and getting a Good Karma instead of using a second hand device.
The service offers you with 4 different plans ranging from free Basic, Extended, Gold to Platinum with Labels available for upto 100 Items. Under the minimum Basic plan you would be able to cover 1 Item and when its lost StuffBack would charge you 49$ for recovering the item while in case of upgraded packages there is a higher feed but no charge in recovering each of your products. The lowest price for the Labels pack would cost you $19.95 for 6 polyester labels which you can stick at different locations on your device or else replace once they get used.
StuffBak labels, tags and cases are available to protect your portable electronics, sports gear, iPods, keys, luggage, clothing, medical equipment and more. A $8 investment can help you avoid insurance hassles, replacement costs and productivity loss. With pay-for-results recovery fee, you can’t afford not to protect all of your gear today. Overall a excellent service offered which may sound costly initially but is worth the money if the items can be recovered back in the original condition.
Hi! Amit
When I was reading your post suddenly I supposed to see your rss counter and surprised to see only 397. on the last visit it was around 19-20k. Did you lost all of them or what exactly happened to it, I really want to know as we could keep it in mind if it would be a malfunction.
Kindly share this in a post or just reply here. thanks
This is a temporary bug in feedburner which happens every few days and the counter does not display the correct numbers. By the very next day the numbers would be back.
A nice way, and that too for just $8 we could be saving a lot of other recovery costs or save the phone from being lost.
