Reliance has joined the competition with the launch of Reliance Netconnect Broadband + which is a service for people who are looking for real quick internet connection.

Features of Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ advantage
Wireless Broadband for Laptops & Desktops

    This is Totally waste plan.
There is no unlimited plan. In the unlimited plan there is the limit. You can download up to 10 GB per month. If it exceeds you need to pay 2 Rs. per MB…

Also the Tariff for unlimited plan is very costly…

So please think before purchase this plans…

Reliance should make an offer of exchange with old data cards to stay in competion because bsnl is offering it on rental basis too with just 500 rupees unlimited plan. As of now i will go with bsnl

when i purchased reliance u.s.b modem.first two months i got 144kbps,and then it increased to 230 kbps.even that was a dial up connection i could manage voice call and online music.a wireless broad band 3.1mbps can give you better speed.I conducted a speed test of reliance broad band in my rural area of ernakulam district.the modem offers high speed data transfer and also dial up speed where they can not provide the hsd. the speed test was acceptable.

    Hi Friends,

I Went to reliance web world for test the speed. The connected mini laptop and it was dead slow. then they said its becoz of laptop problem. they connected Lenovo laptop and still it was very slow. worse than their old data card. Then i told them its very slow. the executive was not @ all looking @ my face and shook his head.

And we should fight against their advt. unlimited by keeping 10 GB fair usage. They can say 10GB instead. Its a wrong announcement.

I got the modem yesterday it will be activated today, please note that you should buy the White color modem not the black color. Most dealers sell the black and most endusers are not aware and are stuck.

I connected to my mac osx and was happy to see has dialer builtin the 1GB flash memery in the modem.

I was getting sustained download of 170KB/sec max going to 320KB/sec so min I am getting is 1.2MB/sec technically.

Also since very few modems are activated to i guess speeds will be more as time goes lets see how thier infrastructure takes on added capacity.

In my 30 min for download I never had a disconnection and I was going all around my 2K sqft office to check signal dropping or not.

I am happy and the 10GB limit is not welcome but at least I have broadband on the Go.

This is a good backup option for Wired broadband incase the wired goes down especially in rainy season.

    cheers

Hi Anand, my uncle uses a Macbook Air and when he is in Chennai he gets broadband speeds. But when we went to Pondy and rural areas, although my Reliance CDMA mobile showed reception, the Mac refused to connect saying there is no carrier. When I wrote to the Reliance customer care, they said that you have to change to hybrid mode when you travel or roam, so that it could seamlessly switch between 1X and High-Speed. How do you do this in a Mac?

So there is no unlimited plan from Reliance. All it is fake advertisements.

No need for an additional device. I wish BSNL thakes this seriously.

I have been using Reliance Broadband+ for three months now. Theoretically, my maximum speed should be 387.5 KB/s. I usually download contents at an average speed of 280-340 KB/s. As you stated, that the speed is worse at nights – I totally agree on that issue. Yes, the download speed is pathetic at nights i.e from 10-12am (for me). It may possibly be due to overwhelming traffic. As you know, most internet lovers mostly use at nights. However, After 12pm my speed hits the rock-top and downloads stuffs at a staggering rate.

        Hi Knuckle Head 🙂

I too noticed the speed improving after 12. But who gonna wait till then ? Every night I’m getting frustrated bcz of this damn slow speed and go to sleep after 11.. I contacted the customer care and there suggested to clear TEMP folder, uninstall any application which is expired, reconnect net and reinstall if reconnect wont work… :P… sounds interesting na??? hi hi… What kind of solution is that yaar ?? Even a 5 yr old will laugh when he hear these kinda solutions from those Customer Care guys. I i said this that guy told me the real truth “Practically they cant give the speed they are offering in a wireless connection… Its only only practical on a wired connection…” BANG!!! i hangup and throw my phone to bed…

Whatz the point of these comparison http://www.rcom.co.in/Communications/rcom/RNetconnect/comparison.html
and Ads like LIGHTNING FAST SPEED !!!

And I cant see my usage status in there website… pretty bad service man!!! 🙁

I recommend others not to buy this

        • Knuckle Head says

          August 16, 2009 at 5:07 pm

I take that fact with a pinch of salt. Yes, the service is pretty bad. I made a payment of Rs. 1450 five days days ago. Within the next four days my service got deactivated. I called them and asked details regarding the issue. Out of nowhere suddenly they asked me to pay Rs. 4000 as an amount for no reason to get my service activated. I was completely cheesed off.I told them I won’t pay anything unless
I get appropriate reasons as to why I have to pay Rs. 4000 when my credit limit is only Rs. 2100. Still I didn’t any clarification on that particular issue – my services are still deactivated. There is no method to their madness.
However, now they promised to get my service back within tomorrow night. Lets see.

Then after a week the put the connection back after i disturbed them with a lot of mails… But when the bill arrived i got shock…

    1. Instead of getting 2 Gb allowance on peak time I got only 1.7 gb
    2. They gurenteed a 200Rs reduction in every month. Didn’t get that too.
    3. Because of the very bad USAGE tracking system we dont even know how much we used. This will end up in a huge bill.

    Instead of a 1700Rs bill i got 2500Rs

I e-mailed customer care on Thursday, September 10, 2009 10:53 AM. I asked for a clarification. I didnt get any reply for that querry.

    I payed 1700 only.

After 2 weeks i got a notification from reliance saying “There is a Pending 850Rs… If i dont pay it my connection will blocked in one week.”

I send a mail again asking for a feed back for my previous Query regarding the Bill…

GOT A REPLY on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 11:39 AM… “My Querry will be answered by the consurned department in 2 days”…

    NO RESPONSE AFTER THAT.

I send another reminder… Here goes my mail.

“I need follow up on the billing issue and the service disconnection.
I’m really not happy with the customer service and the broadband speed..
If there is no positive feedback from your side I will go ahead an discontinue the service. I will wait for 2 days. If the feedback is negative I gonna send a separate request fro discontinue with the service.”

I GOT ANOTHER REPLY on Thu, Oct 1, 2009 at 5:25 PM… “We are working on it and will respond in 24 hour”

    NO RESPONCE After that….

I dont care about the 3500rs of the USB Device… I’m gonna go to the reliance world and cancel the connection…

There Billing is not good, customer service is not goos and the Network speed is pathetic… There ad says its lighting fast speed… it is ligtining , not the SPEED but the BILL …

GUYS … DONT TRUST RELIANCE…. NO MATTER WHETHER ITS MOBILE< INTERNET, INSURENCE or what ever…. DONT GO FOR RELIANCE…. U WILL BECOME CHEATED…

    Thanks
    Ajai

These guys are pathetic… Don’t go for reliance… Tomorrow I’m going to disconnect my reliance netconnect+ connection…

I took new connection from Asianet Broadband ( cable tv isp)… 4Mbps with unlimited night usage from 12 to 8 am…

I recommend you guys to go for BSNL or any local Cable ISPs like asianet… don’t waste your money…

I think you are suggesting home broadband connections here. This whole thread is about the wireless broadband connection. Those who want internet on the move. This way you can compare reliance netconnect+ only with Tata photon+ and MTS_Blaze. Comparing it with bsnl and cable net is not fruitful for anyone who is reading this blog in search for a wireless broadband connection.

      U r right.
It says seamless and 3.1 mbps, which is also not provided by the Reliance even at place like VALSAD.

I also made complaint about the same ,but no response.
Very pathetic response from the service provider!!!!!!!!

hey i’m using reliance 3.1mbps from 3 months, my friend is using tata, we both have opted for 10 gb plan.
reliance have guaranteed to give 250kbps but believe my friend at afternoon time its speed is no more then 60kbps ,at any other time speed is more then 200 kbps.secondly customer care becomes very bad after purchasing product, whatever they will say about plan pls confirm that with online customer care (definitely each of them say different things for same plan).
for tata they have guranteed to give more than 150 at any time, trust me u will get more then 250kbps. well tata is trusted brand whatever they say they wll do it.

dear friend i think you may have not getting the real 3.1 mbps connection. according to my opinion you should buy a LAN card or own a new system of having in built lan card provision. the connection from the wireless modem to your computer should be though out the ethernet cable.avoid the u.s.b port of your computer to connect the modem and use ethernet port to get the real broad band speed. the reliance kit contains usb cable and also ethernet cable .good bye friend

      Hi to Everybody,
i am raja sekhar from hyd. The No 1 company in india who is cheated lot is Reliance.
Plz go for BSNL. It has a network in each village also. More over Once you purchased BSNL Products after that nobody will monitor your connection or Download Speed.
But RELIANCE Monitor Every person Download Usage. It slow down the persons Internet Connection speed who are using the Broadband only for downloads. Airtel is not an exception for this. The diff between PVT Corporate Companies and BSNl is the Lack of Good Advertisement.

Finally im saying onething Go only for BSNL, They will not cheated anyone BCZ Its Central Government Organisation.

relience sucks…….please do not buy it.they cheat and cannot provide you good service.
there unlimited means 10gb and there billing system is so poor that they always make some 200-300 rs extra on every bill.
they always have hidden policies and extra amount to charge.

    please don’t go for relience.
