Few days back it was Samsung Corby who boomed the Samsung mobiles sales by launching a series of Samsung Corby editions, now its Samsung Star TV following the same launching trends of it successor. Samsung Star is the most popular and best selling touchscreen phone in the first half-quarter of 2010 and interesting it was Samsung Corby for last quarter of 2009.
Samsung Electronics launched another addition to their Samsung Star series and this time its comes with TV viewing feature. The Samsung Star TV (S5233T) comes with analog mobile TV receiver where the mobile handset owner can enjoy free-to-air transmitted channels.
This handset is launched in Southeast Asia and if Samsung plans it would be available in the other parts of the world too.
Talking of the Star TV and its TV features, the analog TV receiver is provided by Telegent Systems and Samsung has looked in for providing the rich graphical controls. TV viewer has the option of one click capture, recording, switch channels with a screen flick and reception of incoming SMS without stopping the telecast of TV viewer.
Other features of Samsung Star TV S 5233T are 3 inch TFT resistive touchscreen, TouchWiz UI, EDGE, Bluetooth, 16Gb expandable memory, 3.15 megapixel camera with smile detection, FM with RDS support. No Wi-Fi connectivity!! Would be shocking to hear this, but that right. Samsung Star TV S 5233T has no Wi-Fi connectivity.
There is no announcement from Samsung regarding the price of the mobiles still, but sooner or later would be coming out.
