Setting up Adsense with Feedburner More Revenue Options

June 10, 2008 by Amit Bhawani 6 Comments

Did we just hear adding adverts on more pages and more revenue. Feedburner and adsense are offering now some excellent features using which you can setup adsense for feeds and make money money. If you run a blog with feeds just login into your feedburner account and get started.

Adsense Feedburner Setup

Click on the Monetize Tab in your feedburner account and select the check box to activate ‘Display ads from AdSense for Content’ and click on Save. The next moment you will be asked to activate the same service in your adsense account.

Google Adsense Account Access

Once you Enable access in your adsense account, you can start tweaking ad formats in your feedburner account. If you use a third party service (such as Blogger) to manage your AdSense account, that service will be listed below as a host. Hosts are sites or services that require access to your AdSense ad code and reports in order to provide you with AdSense account management through their site. Hosts do not have access to your address or payment information and you can disable their access to your AdSense account at any time.

Currently Adsense for Feeds is available in only 2 formats ie 468×60 & 300×250 and you have the option to change the colour templates to custom Palette. You will be paid for the Google AdSense ads directly by Google AdSense in accordance with the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions. This is separate from any payments through FeedBurner Ad Network. Please also note that the Google AdSense program automatically targets ads that are relevant to your page content and that these advertisements are not available for review.

The Next Step would be to setup the HTML Code to be added on your blog to start showing the ads. Once you select your blog platform like wordpress, movable type, blogger etc. I have activated the ads for AdSense integrated with feedburner on 2 blogs with four digit subscribers and will report soon with the revenue stats. who knows it may lead into double the current adsense revenue.

I won’t suggest using adsense for feeds… Adsense on blog posts is enough…
Feedreaders are generally any blog regular and genuine readers…
And bombarding them with ad I can never justify… 😐
