Sony Computer Entertainment India (SCEI) launched 40GB Playstation3 this week at playstation Expo at Taj Land’s end in mumbai because of the increasing number of gamers in India and sony has also announced many new games for playstation.
Sony Playstation portable with video out facility comes at a price tag of 8990Rs and they want to increase their market share in india from the current 60% share. The package features PSP Spiderman specialty pack and PSP Simpsons specialty pack at the cost of 10,490Rs and 9990Rs respectively though these packs seems to be very highly priced for indians but may be they would end up in good number of sales because of the growing number of gamers in India.
Some of the game packs have the titles of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, LAIR, Ratchet & Clank : Tools of Destruction, WipEout Pulse, and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow. Even though the pricing seems to be very high currently but sony would anyway bring in some combo packages for gamers and discounts for more sale of these playstations.
The pricing of these PlayStation Portable is very much competitive in the US markets ranging from 399$ to 499$ for the 40GB limited edition and indians may need to wait for sometime for a better pricing.
